They got them. MOO According to Joe Petito on Dr. Phil all parties left numerous voice mails and the police phoned them several times. They also appeared at their door on the 10th. I do not believe for a moment that not one of 3 out of 4 family members received a call. And, we also have to add a 4th - the landline phone. MOO
And if they didn’t get them, what is heavens name were they calling 911 about???

46 calls in all. TWO on 9/10/2021

Brian Laundrie manhunt: Dozens of police calls to Florida home after Gabby Petito was last seen | Fox News
Based on the reports of multiple 911 calls coming from their house while Brian was there, my guess is there was some turmoil going between them--and then he left. How do you keep a grown adult from leaving? Should they have shot him?

Are you suggesting they should have gone to Wyoming to look for her? How do you know what Brian told them about what happened? We don't live in a Kumbaya world, unfortunately--people don't react to situations the way we want them to, because we're all different. These people are going through a serious event that most people don't get trained to handle. I think the abuse they are enduring is shameful.

i think that’s a question for BL, he might know how to keep a grown adult from leaving.

IMO all anyone would expect the Ls to do would be to show the same degree of concern for their future daughter-in -law that they showed for their son. And some honesty. How about for starters, during the two 911 calls on 9/10/21 saying, our Gabby didn’t return from Wyoming in HER van and we are worried about her…?

edit: and then their son could have told them where the last place he parked the van was and voila! LE would have had her 18 days sooner and maybe, just maybe, the forensics would have been even better.

Yes, it seems that the 11th may have been the time of the last independent sighting of BL (by a neighbour). Unless, of course, the police have other evidence that BL had not yet left the home. imo
I remember reading early on that a neighbor reported seeing BL & RL riding bikes. Is it possible BL continued on a bike? IMO it would be very easy to blend in in Fl on a bike w/helmet, sunglasses & mask.

I don't know what people are referring to when they talk about his odd gait. Is there a video of him walking like this? What I have seen so far looks kind of like normal walking. . . Except for his strange barefoot crawl over the rocks, somewhere in Utah. That was more climbing though.
It’s visible in the Moab video, at around 5:00.

Me too. I just want a positive ID so we don't have a DBCooper. I don't care what happens to him, just get the ID.
I want to know the whole story after investing so much time here. We won't know it if he is dead. So, I really hope he's alive. I had new hope of that when the reserve bore no fruit. No nothing. And more and more it seems that he was never there. jmo

Oh, no, I have to respectfully disagree. Weddings on the beach can be expensive, depending on whether you're planning to also have the reception there, how much permits cost, etc.

Her mother said that COVID was a reason why they put the plans on ice (at other times, she's said it was because they felt too young), and I don't see any reason not to believe her that COVID was one of the factors. A lot of weddings were cancelled last year. Their families were both from NY, which means people needing to travel. Just because a lot of people in FL were more casual about COVID than in other parts of the country doesn't mean that everyone was, especially people who had, or relatives that had, just lived through the early days of the pandemic in NY.

I'm not sure that the wedding is either here nor there, but it's notable that both mothers and Gabby and Brian had a joint pinterest board and each had pinned some wedding ideas. How sad that it all turned out this way.

I live in vero beach - the same place as gabbys dad. My daughter married here last year in November on the beach. No permits just family and a beautiful sunrise! Super cheap - reception/after can be costly. But a beach wedding here is possible from free to $$$$$.

Read sentence one and you lost me reading the rest. Here's why: They had a lawyer before the media ever showed up. MOO

Cops were given the card on or about the well check. MOO No media was aware or present on scene yet. MOO
I don't find it shocking that they got a lawyer once they found out that whatever story Brian had given them wasn't adding up. Maybe they anticipated that they would be accused of harboring a potential criminal and needed to talk it over with an attorney. And he tells them to keep their mouths shut, which is what they did. You make it sound like people are vilifying them only for the initial days of the unfolding of the case, but they are still being bashed and harassed, even with the media coverage that you claim wasn't there in the beginning. It is in full force now, and the hatred is only accelerating. Again, it is not their responsibility to calm the public by revealing facts of an ongoing investigation. We live under the rule of law, and I don't believe in courts of public opinion overriding that.

I tried to look up trash day on the city site but I couldn't find it. It has to be there somewhere, though. Is anyone there now? Look to see if trash cans are on the curb? jmo
I was able to plug in their address on the NP website; their trash is collected on Fridays.

Gabby memorial to be REMOVED as family take plaque for 'America's daughter'

The makeshift memorial was placed at City Center Front Green in North Port, Florida.

It will be removed on October 12, as items are being damaged by the elements.

The city of North Port is looking a permanent place where people can honor Gabby.

People have continued bringing flowers even after officials announced the memorial would be removed.

Mourners have left teddy bears, flowers, notes and other kind of items.

Breaking Watauga County- just got this from the FBI-“The body discovered along the Blue Ridge Parkway on Saturday is part of an ongoing investigation. At this time, there is no evidence to connect or any reason to believe it is related to the search for fugitive Brian Laundrie."

The audacity of these people. First they refused to respond to the Petito/Schmidt families when they reached out thinking BOTH GP and BL were missing, then they refused to cooperate with police, then they asked for assistance from the police when BL went “missing”, and now they refuse to acknowledge the death of their daughter-in-law to be and remove the sign in their/used to be her yard as if they want to forget she ever existed, let alone lived there.
I don’t understand them. The only thing I can think is they blame GP for putting them in the position that they’re in. It is so sad.
MOO

Ah, yes. Whether or not BL actively and purposefully caused Gabby's death, his parents' behaviour throughout this tragedy has condemned them in the my eyes.

“The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.”

With all the media coverage and the local law enforcement and the FBI looking for their son, I'd say their choice to stay in the background is not an offense to be shamed for. No one is obligated to reveal facts of a criminal investigation to the public. I think what people are looking for is something to quench their insatiable thirst for getting to know people involved in this case. The FBI and the police have spoken to them on multiple occasions, from what I've heard--why not just let the law do their jobs and leave personal appearances by the family out of it. If they've done something wrong, why haven't they been arrested? As of now, there isn't even a warrant for their son's arrest on charges relating to GP's death.
What was it? 4 days, 5 days now before they bothered to tell their lawyer to tell LE dear son was missing and they were so afraid for his life? Oh, and waiting another day to remember the mustang at the park...that was Wednesday, or was it Tuesday or Thursday? So hard to remember insignificant details when only son goes "missing".

One more observation before I head out— Gabby’s family was in NP today to collect items from the memorial. There has been no LE activity at BL’s house to indicate that Gabby’s things were taken from the home to give back to her family. This would have been an opportune moment for that, no? Do we think they just tossed all of her things?
