I listened to Tracy's interview and thought she was very credible. It's unfortunate that it was not a video interview as I think the visual would have 'possibly' put the laughter in a different perspective.

To me it just sounded like she was in total disbelief (like holy crap) of what she was seeing and hearing in those 9 days. I thought that was what made it even that more credible. She sure sounds like a person who is grounded and expected what would normally be acceptable behaviour and finding 'nothing that resembles it'. (Hope that made sense)

I know I work with some people that are totally 'out to lunch' and if I share an occurrence I may laugh at the incredulousness of it. imo Tracy will be a good witness

IMO Tracey giggle comes from the absurdity of the situation she was in.... the Anthony's freak show that she observed ...you have a grown woman her two yr old baby is missing and KC's only concern was to get a shower Caylees Grandmother wanted to cook the devil child her favorite meal of salmon cakes, peas and applesauce (who could even eat at time like that ) they wanted everything in the household back to normal as if nothing happened KC"S not crying wondering were her daughter is how she is going to get her back the only anthony with any sense was GA he finally lost it and went after KC but of course was stopped by Cindy (she should have let him have at her) then she observes KC bizarre behaviour I want you to wear an ankle bracelet just like mine telling stories of every outfit she owns KC talking and talking about nothing for hours (it had to be hell in that house)Tracey is smart she learned quickly she had to play the part of BFF if she wanted anything out of KC you cannot confront KC with the truth she will shut down and run away(KC knows the truth she is not crazy she knows what she did but will never admit it)Tracey gave great insight into this crazy family....Maybe she plans on writing a book..

BBM ITA, it puts perspective of how CA & GA acted in the first jail house video as well as the telephone call KC made asking for TL phone number. They play up to her in order that she doesn't shut them down.

Really? By name?

It could depend on the spelling. Plesea, Plesia, Pleasea, etc is apparently Romanian and Plescia is from the Albanian-speaking areas of Italy.

Is it possibly Romany? Wish I could ask my Roma neighbors.

One thing about this whole bit...sorry I really can't think of the right word...has concerned me from the beginning. I believe KC acted alone in killing and disposing of Caylee's remains. We all get attached to our particular theories...but it has always appeared to me that LP and Co... (RD & TM (now that we have heard from them) and TP) seem to believe that KC did not act alone. For all I know, TP could be playing good cop/bad cop with us...but I think that they are attached to their particular theory as well. All I care about is that KC is held to the fire for what she has done. That she is convicted and that there is enough evidence to do so. Everything about this case is so strange that what concerns me is that one or more people on the jury might be swayed by some of the weirdness and not look at the facts.

What about KC's bullcrap trip to Jacksonville? What about GA catching her twice near the home and trying to chase her the second time? What about CA showing up at Universal? What about CA's post on the net and KC's? What about not calling the cops when your kid is missing? What about KC's original call home from jail? The evidence of a dead body in the car KC abandoned? I just...

Sorry if I spoke out of turn ya'll but KC is just flat out guilty.

JB is not Mexican; IIRC he is of Puerto Rican descent. He spoke of himself as Hispanic (which is, by the way, a Caucasian term and one that many Latinos disapprove of). I think that Orlando has a higher Puerto Rican population than other FL cities like Miami and Tampa, whose Latino demographics are primarily Cuban.

I had several businesses in FL and among our employees were legal immigrants from all over Central America and the Caribbean, as well as of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent, were well represented. Instead of the solidarity I imagined they would have as a minority group with some cultural similarities, I was shocked at the competitive nature and prejudice many of them showed for other Latino cultures; many of them had to receive different assignments because they refused to get along. Bigotry within a race also exists. Also, it is my experience I that most first generation type immigrants from many countries are harder on themselves than they are to those "outside" their own culture because they know that assimilation and acceptance is important to their success. I don't think it's that easy to stereotype.

I imagine that Tracy and LP are smart to keep in touch with the "opposition" - JB and KC are so naive and egotistical, they probably let things slip all the time.

I just want to clarify I am not stereo typing. Every thing that I stated has come from LP and JB's mouth. LP has stated during some program that he is indeed a first generation Mexican and JB has stated numerous times that he feels that this case is very important to him as a lawyer and the Hispanic community. My sister in law is Hispanic, my sons girlfriend is Hispanic. In NOOOO way was I trying to make disparaging remarks to the Hispanic community. I was just voicing my concern over a thought that slipped into my head regarding all of this back door visitation to the defense rather than seeking justice for Caylee. As having survived a kidnapping and rape I have experienced first hand how sneaky the defense team can be. By the way the man who attacked me was white.

Wow, we sure are getting mentioned lately. We must be the only crime/missing persons forum on the internet. Vigilante's ? Now I have another qualification to list on my resume !

In regards to what was said about her family origins, one of my favorite internet past-times is surname mapping;

http://www.publicprofiler.org/worldnames/Default.aspx

You type in the family name and see where the highest rate of occurrences is globally (though that does not automatically identify a name's origins). Who would have thought that in all the countries of the world Switzerland would have the highest rate of occurrence for Plesea? This is followed by the US (you can see the state breakdown below as expected Ohio has the most prevelant occurrence of the name).

ETA: if you look at the forenames that occur most frequently with the last name, some of which are; Gheorghe, Vasile, Manea... these are Romanian in origin.

Another thing that was interesting to me about Tracy's interview was that Baez tried - unsuccessfully - to teach the family how to deal with the public. Sadly, Baez didn't have them watch a video on the RIGHT way to behave, just the wrong way!

None of them tells the truth - EVER!

Yes, my sister is black Irish.

But, GA said he is of Italian extraction.

Without going into a lot of detail, it is quite possible that GA is a descendant of a PA who settled in what became Ohio in the New World in the late 1600's/early 1700's following the Cromwelian Confiscation in Ireland. The timing of the move by PA to the New World makes it highly probable that the name of this family is of Irish origin as many Irish fled to the New World after their lands were unfairly seized.

The name Anthony is derived from the Latin word Antonius. (Antonius would be the Italian surname.) In the 1600's in English speaking countries, the name became Anthony due to the erroneous belief that the name was derived from the Greek word anthos (flower.)

It is not unusual for people to be unaware of their genealogical history and it could be that GA is Italian on his mother's side or simply has non-Anthony grandparents who are Italian and considers himself Italian because of this.

I am so puzzled about this....

LP, TP, Rob and Tracy originally got involved in this case for the BENEFIT of Caylee....to find HER.

Shortly after arriving, they become very suspicious of all family member behavior and suspect that Caylee was not abducted by a non-family member.

They seem determined to find her body for the BENEFIT of Caylee.

Caylee is found.

NOW....

TP stands firm on the opinion that the Anthony's are wonderful people, and states he has had contact with them.

TP states that KC was a very nice girl.

LP is having almost daily conversation with Jose Baez (per TP)

Tracy is writing to KC and putting money in her commissary account (per Fox35)

So after Caylee is found, this group is now no longer showing actions for the BENEFIT of Caylee (justice)??

What is wrong with this picture????

Didnt the death smell in the car bother Leonard at all? Why wasn't that a clue to him that Caylee was no longer alive? I knew then she was dead, and I am not a big-time Bounty Hunter. This has always bothered me.
And yes, my head is kinda spinning from the turn around.

IIRC, there weren't too many people in the world who believed Caylee was alive before any of them set foot on Orlando soil. We all were pretty upset about them bailing her out for that reason.

I like to believe they are telling the truth and they did think Caylee was still alive when they went there. I have no reason to doubt that. And actually, I am glad they weren't using all their senses when they bailed her out because otherwise we'd never know what really goes on behind closed doors at the Anthony household! :)

Anyone wondering where KC got her self absorbed behavior needn't look any further than CA
Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Show Transcripts and Show Videos - NO DISCUSSION!

What stood out for me on this interview is the TIMELINE. CA thinks that they are off by a week on the day Caylee was last seen. OFF BY A WEEK!!!. the child was kiddnapped and they can't even tell us what day it happend. CA does not have the strenght to figure it out? Are you kidding me? How on earth these people sleep at night is beyond me. :furious: :furious: :furious:

Again, I think the laughing by Tracy is simply an automatic response to re-telling an absolutely bizarre story about an absolutely crazy situation with an absolutely crazy girl named KC. I'm sure throughout the interview, Tracy was shaking her head as if to say, "I wouldn't believe this crap either, if I hadn't lived it!"

EXACTLY! I have a GF who is a really logical, straight forward woman. Very smart, confident and independent and Tracy reminded me of her when she was talking and laughing. As though the things she was recalling were just so absurd that even speaking them out loud was laughable and were it not for directly seeing or hearing them, they are just too outlandish to believe almost. Mind boggling and over whelming at the same time. You can hear in her voice that she was constantly shocked and scratching her head at Casey's behavior. How else do you express complete... Bafflement... other than with laughter?

I caught Tracy's comment about WSers!!
I'm hoping her intent was scarcasm...
:slap:

lol. I could honestly care less what she thinks of us. She can call me wtf ever she wants to, I know what I am- her opinion doesn't matter to me in the least, I DGAF! I am just grateful she is being honest with LE, that alone makes me respect her beyond words!

ita- how could you NOT laugh when re-telling the things she had to re-tell!These people (the Anthony's) are a joke!

I am very disturbed at Tracey's comments about Websleuths. I wonder if she knows she just insulted Tony Padilla?

I'll go to Kinko's today and listen to the tape. (I can only get dialup and it takes forever to download.)

This lumping Websleuths in with everyone on the Internet happens because we are so large and popular but I am getting sick of it.

Websleuths was blamed for the lunatics outside the Anthony's screaming.

Websleuths was blamed for the over the top response to someone hiring the Anthony's to speak. The people that had hired them became frightened and THAT'S why they cancelled. The nuts that contacted them were so over the top with hatred it scared them. We were blamed for causing that. Just not true.

I am really worked up about this.

Can someone please PM me Tracey's last name and Leonard Padilla's address.
