2009.01.21 Document Release

What do you all think about the CSI going back to the evidence that was taken from the car (H-51975) and retrieving the black trash bag, pull-ups, and the knife? He did this on December 16th. If that bag was given to him by Cindy (remember, it contained things she found in the car) there's a good chance that they have a trash bag to match with the one at the scene because they collected this in mid July. They may also be able to match the pull-ups from KC's car to one found on Caylee or at the scene.
Certainly a bag from a closer time, but still a month after body disposal. What form are trash bags sold typically. We buy esentially individual bags 4 or 5 at a time. Silly system wherebye the cost of collection added to price. Would the A's buy a few or a whole roll?

Another difficult day of difficult-to-comprehend evidence unearthed from a difficult-to-comprehend crime.

Trying to catch-up. Threads are long - and I apologize if any of these questions have been asked/answered:

Has anyone seen anything in the docs so far regarding other items collected at the crime scene - the book and the tiger and the photos we thought we might have identified via super-imaging?

Were all of those things merely figments of enlarged leaves and pixels?

Also, is there a list of what was found in the house as product of the post-remains search warrants - "returns", as they are called?

Are we missing doc/evidence records & expecting more this weekl? Do we have access to as many pages as we were expecting (300?). :deal:

Thanks for your help ... and I'd like to say how nice it is that we can all benefit from those who take time to make informative & detailed posts & analysis, etc. regarding all the new info! You are appreciated more than you know! Hope to be able to return the favor sometime.

I wish we could copy and paste ggggrrrr

Anywho....

Wednesday July 23rd, 2008

At approx 1522 hours Det YM informed me that there was a vehicle that he wants me to inspect for any additional evidence related with this case. Mr AL arrived at the forensic garage with the vehicle: 1997 Jeep Cherokee

I proceeded to photograph the exterior and interior for documentation. I inspected the interior of the vehicle by using an ultra lite ALS. I observed 2 suspected stains on the carpet located in the cargo area. I took 2 swabs samples using sterile water from the suspected areas. Presumptive blood test was performed. No reaction for blood was observed.

Auto Theft Garage
At approx 1613 hours I moved the vehicle from our forensic garage to the auto Theft garage in order to put the vehicle on the lift to check underneath the vehicle. I proceeded to photograph underneath the vehicle for documentation. The following pieces of evidence were collected.
Then the times of the evidence collected were 1628 and 1629 hours (so within 15 minutes of having AL vehicle in the air)

then they took the vehicle back to the forensic garage to do the trunk?? But there is no trunk in a jeep only a "cargo" area.

I am sooooo confused. I wonder if we called them LOL OH BTW can you explain this to us WS in their spare time. Yea right.

Can you see what I am picking up on and why it is confusing me. I am not trying to argue I am trying to understand it. Maybe my head is thick and you need to pound it in me??

Short answer .... NO

I thought some of the "items" found in photos were dubious, but the book looked very real and even the photo near it. I can not help but think there are items not mentioned. In which case were there other clothing items outside the bag? The rumours of a swim suit seemed strong? As others have said the items we see described here could be items already in the laundry bag?
Esentially I am not much further enlightened.
The canine evidence was something I am particularly interested in for the plan of the home and I was pleased to get that.

Yep I said that earlier too. :blowkiss:

I buy a roll of 80 kitchen bags...lasts almost 3 months. They generally come in rolls of 30, 50, 80 or more. I think the bag found was a larger trash bag. A roll of these lasts me a lot longer because I don't use them daily. I'm sure the A's buy in rolls as well. I hope very large rolls!
Another thought is that it was just the two of them there that month. This would amount to a lot less trash and less bags used.

The way I have reconciled it for myself is to regard the 2 paras as relating to AL and everything else KC. I would have made that much clearer if I was doing it. Perhaps this lot had much more info but it was cut and pasted a bit. There would have been lots of other evidence coming and going. The items collected from the home to name a zillion.

snipped respectfully

Short answer .... NO

The canine evidence ... I was pleased to get that.

Thank you kind Sir Hercule !

I too love the dogs, and am interested in anything they have to say. They are always faithful and trustworthy.

Hope we can all talk about it later! :detective:

I don't know what happened to the bag and contents liberated by a neighbour? That was reported to be taken in by LE The hat seemed significant and the bag itself may be useful now.

Aimee, I know exactly why you see it that way. I saw it that way too until I got to the part about the black shoes. At this poiint, I thought something was wrong and started looking at all the numbers. Got a huge headache and a little understanding of these docs.

ETA: Even JWG has the items as coming from AL's car in the forensics thread and he's very detail oriented!

Hey I was the one that found Al;s car LOL

Heh heh dont worry about me I just need some pepping up LOL

But there are TWO knives right ????? one in the Car a dinner knife and one with the body a Stainless steel knife RIGHT ?

What on earth is the time there ? its 7.45 pm here in Oz have you all been up ALL NIGHT with this ?

I did read your post and it gave me hope but at the time I didn't know that a CSI went and retrieved it from the evidence room on December 16th. Finding that out gave me even more hope that they can match that bag. I'm already anxious for the next document dump.

I agree on page 3214 it speaks of this. I hope the 2 bags are connected. Would def be a slam dunk.

I don't think us brilliant WS are at fault. This document is confusing and ambiguous and I think not good enough to withstand defence scrutiny. I hope its a bit clearer for the case and the jury. One or 2 may have little or no WS experience. Then agin perhaps the jurers could go on line and we can help?

it is 4:48am here.
I have been up all night as usual. I am usually hurting and can't sleep. But tonight my mind is racing, I hurt, and I am listening to my grandbabies congestion so can't sleep. And I watch him in am while my daughter goes to RN school. SOOOO Long day today with a sick baby.

OH I am confused on knife as well. I saw where a news article had it wrong??

I found the photo of her in the pink hat turned sideways to be interesting and have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find a pink hat with the VIP wording on it online. No luck, not even in closed ebay auctions.

But I did notice this:

Black and white version with the heart uploaded by Casey July 10, 2008, 4:08 PM.

One knife

Jane, it looks like there may be only the ONE knife -- the one from the evidence locker with stuff from the car.

However, we've read this:

Sheaffer said the public might never find out why a stainless steel knife was found with the body.

"The knife could have been an agency of the murder, could have been used to cut the tape. A myriad of possibilities with the knife," Sheaffer said.

(found here http://www.wftv.com/news/18530178/detail.html )

which seems to make it sound as tho there WAS another knife found @ the dump site...hence TWO knives.

So there's info missing from the doc dumps, or Mr. Schaeffer got confused?

I'll sure be glad when we find out the true knife count.

ETA: or Schaeffer or WFTV corrects what they've reported!

Did that hat have the logo mentioned?
