BBM and of course I'm giving my own opinions too.

I saw her do "no" head shakes.
I saw her break down during the final breath moments description.
I might expect the falsely accused to request their attorney "Make him stop".

How much more totally different does it need to be?

As guilty as I believe Casey is I did not see anything telling in her reactions in court today that would lead me to believe she was guilty or not guilty. I would love to see an expert's take on this, however. I recall seeing a website where someone claiming to be an expert does read people's body language and I believe there were posts on there about KC in the past. Does anyone have a link to such a site?

Just got back from the hearing. I'll begin at the end. I happened to leave the parking garage and ended up seeing the van which was taking KC back to the jail at 12 noon. I was parked on the 5th floor and as I was going to my car George was holding hands with the woman in blue and Cindy was walking with the two look alike girls who sat behind them in the courtroom. They were mulling around their car after reporters and cameramen literally chased them from the 12th floor of the courthouse into the parking garage elevators. The cameramen were very eager to capture Cindy broken down into tears in the hallway of the courthouse. During Ashton's moving arguement, KC was not paying any attention at all. She was talking to A.Lyon the entire time. Toward the end I think she poked herself in the eye for the second time and wiped some fake tears away. This had happened only once before when A.Lyon mentioned that her parents couldn't come to the jail and tell their daughter that they loved her. She poked herself in the eye for that, too.
Cindy looks considerably older today. While she & George never testified, the prosecutor did come to them before the hearing began and had a word with them and George did thank her before she took her seat. Cindy on the other hand was trying to convince her of something, but all I could hear was "41". She said that a few times. (Is it 41 days til Jan 25?)
I got to the courthouse at the same time they did and they were met by the lady in blue and the man she was with. The girls who sat behind them and comforted them somewhat during the hearing came in later. The bald man from national news was there chatting with Holly Bristow (the local reporter) and the two of them sat together in front of me. At one point the bald man gave his I-phone to the man beside me who looked at it and gave it back to him.
The courtroom was full to overflow. Bill Schaffer was there, the cute guy from Nancy Grace was there, every news channel in town was there. I'd say there were only about 6 regular observers like me there. The Anthony's had that family of 4 and their attorney there. KC had Baez, Lyon and a black man to confer with. I don't know the last man's name or role in this.
Every motion was taken under consideration for a decision later. It appeared the prosecution will take the day.

Amil does not state that Lee was there and I am pretty sure he/she would have made that clear

IMHO, NONE of her reactions from July 15, 2008 have been that of a Greiving MOTHER, who, at first having their child missing, for over a month, and subsequently knowing she was left in a ditch to rot.

Have you forgotten all her past court appearances, detached and fiddling with her hair, smiling inappropriately, when gruesome details were being described about finding the body. Do you not remember Tracy's deposition about her demeanor being so carefree, never once mentioning Caylee, when thousands of people were looking for her, as if it was a party? Her taped visits with her parents, laughing as her Mother held her hands to her face crying, saying "why is she crying":furious:

She has recently been coached into this performance.

SHE CAN'T, NEVER HAS & NEVER WILL FEEL ANYTHING, and sadly that is apparent in all her affectations.

At this point, we're talking about an audience of one -- the judge. And I don't think the touching is gonna mean a hill of beans to him.

Keep in mind this ain't his first rodeo. We need to remember that Casey isn't anything special to him. Read the online versions of the Orlando Sentinel. Today, there's a story about a woman drowning her baby in a toilet. He's seen many defendants cry. He's seen many upset family members.

Casey Anthony is just another cold-blooded mother who killed her baby.

Blaise

I totally agree with you about this. I think AL talked to the Judge and JA talked to the camera. The emotional story he made up was working well with the public, but probably had no effect on the Judge.

AL gave him a lot more things to look over. IMO

Yes, my question is hypothetical and is rather specific. It assumes that everything is the same right up until this court appearance. I welcome all responses, but in all honesty, ones like "she wouldn't be there" etc. are ignoring the hypothetical I present.

The question assumes everything is the same... except that the charge of murder one is incorrect. A different charge(s) might be correct, but M1 is incorrect.

Here is the question again.

If KC is being wrongly accused of premeditated murder (and she would know this) what would be her expected reactions and emotions while on camera in this courtroom situation? Would it be entirely different than what we saw?

My answer is "who knows?" But I suspect you want me to say "they would be the same."

Respectfully, Hot Dogs, why am I not surprised? :innocent: You and I could (hypothetically, of course) represent two people on the jury. What I 'saw' looked more like guilt and shame than grief. MOO.

Okee Dokee...Sorry if this has been discussed...I just finished Part 2 of WFTV.com RAW Hearing...What is going on with Joe Jordan with a statement to LE and then an illegal interception recording?? Then Jose stated something along the lines of having 2 felonies brought against LBD/LDB (can't remember what her initials are from the states attorney office lol) and she argued to have it prohibited from being released to anyone so that she nor Jose don't get charged with 1 felony a piece?

I'm watching the re-caps on InSession TV and I just noticed Casey's knuckles are red and swollen. You can see this where ALyon is grasping Casey's wrist.
What could she be doing to cause this?

I didn't see this earlier but Vinnie on In Session just asked Brad as we sit here today, are your clients convinced that their daughter had nothing to do with their grand- daughter's death and he replied, "They don' t know. They honestly don 't know at this point". I am glad he didn't answer yes because that would have been a bold faced lie.

I think they looked destroyed when they walked in this am because it was a long sleepless night thinking they may have to testify. These are the times that try men's souls, right, testifying against your own child. Now they were spared that, for now and the actual trial may not be for another year so who knows how they will feel by then. They just confirmed Baez will be on Issues tonight on HLN, he wont be on Nancy.

KC reactions and emotions have been all over the board in this entire thing. IMO, when she should be reacting hot she was reacting cold and vice versa. Of course this takes me back to her receiving a script from those pesky kidnappers and obviously she is still acting out her script.

I would agree that both the defense and the prosecution are giving their own "concert" today. Today was the first time I had actually heard the prosecution's theory of how they believe Caylee was murdered. The defense is, in my opinion, left with KC's story about a phantom nanny named Zanny and the fact that it appears from the defense's arguement today that their client, KC, won't back off of this obvious lie.

The only thing that will save KC is for the defense to claim it was an accident. Just my opinion. No way there was not a dead child in the back of KC's trunk. She knew there was and put Caylee where she was ultimately found. Again just my opinion.

What I hope for KC's parents is that they not blame themselves for the actions of a one KC Anthony.

Longer version of Kathi's interview ....

RAW VIDEO: Jose Baez Talks To WFTV After Casey Hearing
http://www.wftv.com/video/21935023/index.html

After seeing that video I take back thinking she was rude. He had finished with his answer to the one reporter when she asked it and he went on pretending he was still answering. He just did not like her question.

I might be alone on this, but I thought Kathi B was very unprofessional after the hearing. interrupting Baez when he's answering a question and making him mad to the point that he just leaves. that's not journalism at all. as much as I am not a fan of Baez, I would have reacted the same way he did to how she was acting.

I agree. Also being snippy by stating "even though she was there",in reference to when Jose was saying how hard it is to hear how any childs death is. That made Jose make a quicker exit imo,and shortened the time for other reporters to ask their questions.

Hitting stuff like walls? desks?
I still see ALLOT of RAGE in KC when things don't go her way!

Just saw the rest of prosecuting attorney Jeff Ashton's eloquent description of Caylee's torture and death. And the perp's reaction, tears for herself cause he just hit the nail on the head.

I was utterly shocked to hear that Caylee could have ripped off the duct tape, so this means that she would have had to have been restrained in some manner. I guess this lays out the prosecution's case.

Is it just me, or did Lyons look intimidated at the end???

I noticed that too, she had a resigned expression, not a happy camper that's for sure.
