this hearing went on much longer than I expected or Rhornsby predicted. I'm wondering if the judge will give defense more room on this issue.

I am very sorry to have to say this....but KC will certainly have an appeal for ineffective counsel.

That's why JS has insisted that KC attend EVERY hearing in person. So she can see her lawyer in action and make an informed decision about his services. This makes it very very hard to claim ineffective council after conviction. Believe it or not, you do have a right knowingly choose to hire an incompetant bobo to defend you in a capital murder case. Doing so willingly and with clear evidenceof the oncoming train wreck tends to invalidate the ineffective council defense.

Casey was "laughy" and "excited" at the last hearing. Today she is "somber" and "angry." I think she is frushtrated. (Did I do that right?)

The ladys are not there to soften it up. JB is no longer playing nice. And her new guy is one to say it like it is. I'm sure it's been an interesting day for KC.

Seems like they're hanging their hat on JJ who has made it clear that he doesn't want to have anything to do with the defense and that the original email he sent was before he realized he was not in the same place.

no mention of letters, and i see no motion filed yet, one would think defense would have mentioned it but they have til end of business today I think. I believe they will file it last minute.

The A's hogjawin' gum again in the courtroom. How many times has the court addressed gum chewing and cellphones prior to commencement of these hearings? Is it just short term memory difficulties or blatant disrespect and defiance on the A's part? I hope one day the judge will pause proceedings and ask the A's to get up and spit out their gum before they go any further. That may help them to remember in the future!

KC always looks like a loaded spring ready to go off at any moment. So nervous and picking, smoothing, fixing, straightening, rubbing etc. She makes ME nervous! Guilt is so evident in her body language, imo.
