The funny thing is Doc, before I watched it, I could have bought into the he did something line of thought, but after watching it I see no way that timid guy would dare do anything to pi** Ron off. Help Ron, yes. Anger Ron, no.

In my opinion a "timid guy" is exactly what he and his defense lawyer wanted everyone to see. He sure wasn't going to come out with guns blazing on national television.

I haven't seen any dogs there yet! Are they there? I hope so. But something was said about the temperatures at the time she disappeared and that alligators dont really hunt or eat because it is cold at the time.

You are right. I just had our first alligator spotting last week in our river which would be early April.

Okay.... bolded by me is where I'm concerned:

Two phone calls about the same thing... how long between phone calls? Sumpin' stinks. "Hi grandma, lemme spill my guts." (hang up) "Hi grandma, lemme spill my guts."

ITA, sounds like a get out of jail scheme was set into play.

Like a poster posted previously....I think we've all been punked.

Also, I think that LE were getting frustrated yesterday after finding nothing. That's why they brought Misty out just to see if she would crack. My opinion of course.

ETA: OR they wanted someone else to get nervous that Misty was out there ratting them out!

From the reports we got of the meeting the family were told Haleigh was dead and who did it.

Ron walked out with a smug look on his face. He did not drop down on the ground after hearing this news for the first time. All along he has believed she is alive.

Now either he does not believe the crime scene story or he is just not as emotional as he use to be.

OR maybe he KNOWS that isn't the crime scene!!!

I was always told it is the quiet timid guys that you have to look out for. Someone like RC who wears his emotions on his sleeve, you can tell what he is all about. It is the quiet ones that make you wonder. There is no way that JO is an innocent. My sister lives about 20 miles west of Antioch and she told me that it is a rather rough part of town.

Same thing went through my mind when I read that. Sounds like a cooked up story between the 2 Croslins. They tell Gma and know that she'll go to the police because it implicates someone other than the 2 that are in jail. That way neither is the initial snitch.

I have a feeling everyone is being duped by a cooked up story.

My Thought exactly, Addicts when going thru withdraw would have been telling this story the first day they were in jail, not now. In addition, I believe Misty was never afraid of Jo, She has been saying stuff about him from the beginning.

Just a thought, and I myself am not sure where I stand on RC, but comparing this search to the JBP search-one could at the very least infer similar affects between RC and KC after hearing the news of potential find.

When I first watched everyone coming out of the meeting, I thought- boy, he looks worn down-but also noted that the women seemed to show a lot more emotion than RC(who definitely hasn't been shy in the past). Maybe the similarity is, like KC, RC knows they're not going to find anything there that will lead to Haleigh?

He looked worried to me, like a dog that just got caught peein' on the rug. :)

Exactly!! But what I don't get is when did these two have any opportunity to get together and cook up this new story? When the drug arrests first happened, it was still the original "H was stolen from the trailer" story...and they've both been locked up ever since then.....!?!?! Isn't all communication monitored (not just phone calls but letters as well?) Are bro and sis passing private notes by means of books, like other prisoners we now know about?!?!?!

Let's just suppose Ron tossed the gun in Shell Harbor (the gun in question that Joe fought with him about). LE gets the family together (with Ron) and tells them they have a 'lead' to look for 'evidence' there. LE knows Ron threw the gun in there (because Misty told them), but the family is left in the dark. So Ron is being played and the family has no clue. THAT's the look on his face, after the family meeting. Ron knows Misty has ratted him out. So how is the gun significant in Haleigh's disappearance?

http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/cummings_case/041510-Haleigh-Cummings

Investigators say Haleigh's dad Ronald Cummings and Overstreet got into a fight over a gun just days before Haleigh disappeared. That tip led investigators to search the Saint Johns River in Putnam County. Divers are back in the river today, for the 3rd day in a row.

If Joe threw the gun in there, how would Misty know? If Ron did, Misty would know. KWIM?

at the very least, they could say they found a gun they could trace to Ron. What I'd need to see is how they'd tie that gun to Haleigh.

What we know is this search is directly related to Haleigh's case, not an ancillary crime.

It could still be an arrest of someone already in jail right? This would be a new charge....so a new arrest? I think we gotta remember LE does not have to be accurate with their information in trying to catch a perp.

BBM:

In my experience, when an already jailed inmate is charged with a new charge, he/she is brought down to Booking and rebooked on the new charge only. So the other booking still stands, and the new booking is on the new charge.

It is pretty much the same as an arrest, except the inmate was already in custody.

I want to be clear that it is my experience as in work, not as an inmate!
:innocent:

I am not so sure. The gun may be traced to Ron and an ancillary crime, which maybe LE can relate to why Haleigh is gone now. I do believe Ron caused Haleigh's death by something he did prior. JMO.

The gun - again. I brought up the "elusive" gun last night when I started this thread. So say LE knows (or has been told by more than one person) that the gun was thrown in the river there - how does THAT connect to Haleigh?

And, how does THAT connect to MC and this "testifying against the perp" plea deal? IF the "gun" is connected and we know of only 2 people who had connections to that "gun" - then its either JO or RC.

Back to MC's comment about hurting 2 people. One we "care" about and one "not so much" - JO and RC. hhhmmmm............

I am so hoping for something from LE today - just even a little tid bit or morsel we can chew on.
