Shoemaker is talking about the death and funeral of Haleigh and he acts like it is nothing! He was smirking, smiling, grinning. I know the media can edit video footage to make something seem to appear the way it didn't actually happen. Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno. Most of the time defense lawyers act cagey and they love to twist words. I could never be one-I'm too honest!

ETA-Was Shoemaker implying that Ron was referring to Joe when he said he would shoot him through the window of the police car?

Sort of lends credence to Pat Brown's theory... IMO anyway. After all these months he finally points a finger at JO? I call B.S.

Ron always pointed a finger at Crystal and her family.

Well, to be fair, Ron did give a page of written information to LE very early in the case and it listed some people who he suspected might be involved. We have no idea who was on that list, but it might have included Cousin Joe. Supplying the names of those someone suspects is a far cry from proving it, however.

We are talking about the first minute or few minutes of hearing his daughter was missing he knew Cousin Joe did it. Lets be fair and give him the chance to tell how he knew this specific thing ruling out a million other scenarios.

In the very 1st thread in the Haleigh case starting around post 53 there is already confusion about a "cousin". I think LE just never took it seriously.

Are you saying Ron says cousin or Joe on the 911 tape?

AS..should give it up. It has been fourteen months. You heard the LE and you heard the P.I.s.

Nobody has to prove anything to her. They have to show or tell the parents. Why they have extended the courtesy to everyone is beyond me and they have gone way above what they had to do.

I just hope this rests in Crystal's hands so I can be sure of something wonderful and precious will be said and will be done in a beautiful manner. Crystal has a way with the written word and has touched me with that poem to her daughter last year. It was beautiful and for those who read it, we know what Crystal is like and that was many a turning point for people. I still get teary eyed just reading or even thinking about her letter to Haleigh.

Thank you so much Sailor Bug. I have been thinking of Haleigh's Momma and little brother and the rest of her Momma's family today.

I just wanted to say I'm saying a prayer for them too. I pray that angels wrap their wings around their broken hearts. Life will never ever be the same for them. Ever.

Thanks!! When this 1st broke...in those 1st hours....the media was reporting that a male cousin was there besides Misty and Haleigh. It was soon corrected to say the male was Jr.

JMO - While I appreciate and respect all theories & opinions related to this case and the possible suspect or suspects; what I cannot understand, or agree with, is giving RC's word(s) more credibility than law enforcement officers/investigators, especially to the level or degree of suggesting that LE screwed up... :snooty:

Yes I have heard of someone being officially declared dead without finding their body but it took years, many years.

Was that person a five year old little girl though? Adults it does take years to declare them legally dead but a child?? I don't know honestly, I am asking.

With all the WS members here who have analyzed this case to death for 14 long months, I think one of them would remember Ron saying that Joe was involved.

to ring true that suddenly as a result of last week's search at the dock, LE would
have sufficient evidence to prove Haleigh's death.

Even if they found some type of biological evidence wouldn't it take longer than
this to get test results back from the lab?

Surely just a couple of cinder blocks would not be enough to call the family
together to prepare for a funeral.

I believe in the beginning of this case, everyone mistook the 17 year old girl (Misty) for a cousin.

The Family meeting was on Monday or Tuesday?--can't remember and then they spent at least two more days at Shell Harbor. I wonder if remains were found elsewhere prior and a weapon was what they were searching for in the river. I just cannot fathom LE saying prepare for a funeral without proof. Just can't. MOO
