2010.04.24 The Laundry Revisited and GGM Sykes Visit.

ok, I just had a sick thought, but I have to say it.

Didn't GGS say Misty came out to help bring the laundry in....

The laundry story is important because people/neighbours could have seen the laundry basket going into the house...

I am thinking maybe HaLeigh was in that laundry basket being delivered home from GGS house..

Can someone please talk me out of this thought...

I don't think GGMS would deliver a dead child in a laundry basket. I just don't see that happening. I think if some sort of accident happened on GGMS watch she would have called 911.

If something happened to Haleigh on the watch of any of the Cummings family and they chose to cover it up, I can't see them bringing Misty into the mix. :twocents:

that's true, it wouldn't just to do that..but using Misty's version :banghead: or one of them anyway..she put the kids to bed at 8pm..and according to her she had company (different people) up until almost that time. ..I have no idea if we ever found out whether they were given a bath or not...then she says she washed and dried the blanket.. then told 911 (why I have NO clue) that she had been cleaning and laundry(?)..did she take dirty clothes out of the dryer and put the blanket in and then put clothes back in? As you said Misty is lazy and by her own admission so exhausted that she slept thru someone coming in to get HaLeigh, but yet she did all this in 2 hrs. but Ron couldn't reach her by phone during this time..then she was in bed by 10pm..I just don't believe a word of it..and more importantly, I don't see how in the world Ron could..but that's nothing more mo.

This stood out to me during the 911 call that Misty told the 911 operator that she was "bleach cleaning". Why would she say this? ETA: The only explanation I can think of is to give a reason for the house smelling like bleach since LE usually suspect a clean up of a crime scene when bleach has been used.

Misty says Granny's laundry delivery came 7 pm:

What happened after 5:00?
Um, we went in the house, we let the kids play, and I cooked some dinner. The kids played and watched movies like we always do, play and watch movies. I helped HaLeigh with her homework. Um
What movie did you watch that day?
Um they watch Air Bud over and over and over and over again, so it was Air Bud. They don’t stop watching Air Bud, that’s just what they watch or Madagascar, that one too, that’s both of them. . .
What about dinner, what time was that?
Um, I started cooking about 6 and it took me about 30-45 minutes, so eating by a least 7, and that’s when Granny pulled up, and I was finished, I was just waiting for them to finish. And Granny just brought some clothes and then she left, the kids got finished eating, and I got Haleigh ready for bed, she took her Air Buds to my bedroom to put it in the PlayStation2, cause she didn’t have a DVD player and she watched her movies and she went to sleep.

:waitasec: Didn't we just hear that Lindsey was there and actually said that she ate dinner with Misty? They really should get their stories straight.

If it was, that would be the longest wash cycle in the history of washing machines, since Misty has stated over and over again that she went to bed at 10 pm and LE wasn't called out until 3:30 am.

I have to believe the washer/dryer running story is pure rumor.

Unless of course the washer was started right after the neighbor heard a woman scream at around 2:15 am in the morning. Maybe a part of the story of washing the blankets. Maybe the blankets had something on them that needed urgent cleaning? Was Haleigh perhaps lying on the couch watching her movie with her blanket when something very bad happened to her?

In my very early theories I posted that maybe GGMs and the family nurse came over to see what they could do anything possible to help Haleigh but it was too late. I did theorize that maybe Haleigh was taken out of the mobile home in the laundry basket, so that any neighbors would not see a child being carried out of the MH that evening. Who knows, my theory may reinvent itself.

I've often wondered if Haleigh left the house in this time frame.

It would be very helpful to know GGS's full alibi for that evening, as well as TN's. The laundry is as close as we've gotten to insight on this critical period, and these other very pertinent players. jmo

Point well taken with your post! Perhaps, GGS knows Misty was not responsible enough to care for the children, and therefore her grandson is responsible for leaving the kids under M's less than competent care. Misty, knowing GGS's a stickler for spotless clothes on the kids, and the work it takes to remove sauce (can of ravioli) stains, leaves the kids with no shirts on because her goal is to stay on GGS's good side. GGSs, on her laundry drop-off/check-up on Misty, sees the kids w/no shirts on a chilly evening (not really a surprise to GGS), probably said something to the effect of, Get some shirts on those kids!

:waitasec: IMO, this story about a trip to the MH with clean laundry has nothing to do with stains.......it has to do with azzes.............the covering of, Ronald's in particular.

It's funny you bring that up, Donjeta. Awhile back I was arguing the same thing. It doesn't take an hour to make canned Ravioli. So if she started at 6, why are they still eating when GMS gets there? It doesn't make sense to me. This whole story is fabricated, Misty is screwing up the script...She was suppose to say that she started cooking at 7p, so then GMS could say she got there at 7:30p and they were outside on the porch eating. I really don't think Misty knows AT ALL what the hell was going on that day.

Something else I was thinking about: Some people speculate that TN was at the mh that day...and that TN was the one babysitting those kids....What if she was...and when she said that she "SENT" GMS over...what if she meant that she called GMS to come to mh..meaning that when GMS is called TN herself was actually at the mh...GMS came to assist her, not Misty? I could never figure out why TN would be the one to supposedly send GMS over and then they ran with the laundry story.

Just to give ya'll something else to think about. LOL

ETA: And can someone please tell me, when did Misty give them a bath? The timeline is not working for me-

:thumb: So many good points, suspicious1. Granny Flo asked GGranny S why TN did not take the children with her when Misty had asked her to. This leads me to believe that, yes, TN was at the MH that day. And I agree with you about Misty screwing up the script. Maybe if she hadn't quit school in the SIXTH GRADE, she could have upped her reading comprehension enough to read the script accurately.. JMO

I don't think Misty ever asked TN about babysitting that day. I don't think Flo knew what she was talking about there, I believe she was only repeating rumors that she heard.

IIRC.. The story that was revealed a couple of weeks back was TN asked Misty to babysit and even offered to pay her..And Misty told TN payment was not necessary and she would do it IF it was ok with Ron C...And the story didn't come from Grandma Flo....JMO

I'm having a really hard time believe that MC would have been smart enough to think of using "dish soap" for the washing machine. I may be wrong but IF you use dish soap you have to use just a little - laundry soap has an anti-foaming agent to stop the flow of "suds" out and over the top. IF MC had thought of the dish soap I imagine she would have put too much in and there would have been suds all over that place.

I kinda think she just threw the blanket (or whatever) in there - saw no soap - said "oh well" and just dumped a bunch of bleach in the washer.

I hope the LE that were there that night took copious notes as to the "running washing machine" and what was in it, was there "supplies" availabe to actually DO laundry, etc. etc.

So, WHAT was in the washer at 3:40AM and running?

OT, I know, but I had to laugh. Your post brought back a memory of me when I was a young, newlywed. I also tried to use dish washing liquid for my underware. Very bad decision.

Emeralgem, that was the story revealed a couple of weeks back, only the other night when the "Big Debate" was going on between GGMs and GH, GH turned the story around to where Misty was offering to pay Teresa. When I heard that, I went "HUH"? My first thought was that she had got mixed up and misremembered, LOL. My second thought was "How could Misty "legally" afford to pay for babysitting? Third: Why the heck didn't Ron just pay a babysitter? Did both TN and GGMs refuse to babysit?

Lonetraveler, now I have to ask. What happened to your underwear?:waitasec:

That's what I thought too..LOL

IMO, TN offered to pay Misty to babysit and not the other way around.

I heard what Grandma Hollars asked GGMS and thought perhaps she had just perhaps misunderstood what someone in the family had told her and turned the story around...JMO

Either way it proves Misty didn't really want to babsit, and TN knew that..
And IMHO knowing that piece of information somewhat disproves what TN stated about them staying up all night the night before working things out...I suspect Misty spent Sunday night at her parents house...Didn't we hear sometime back Ron C was up all night Sunday night waiting for Misty... Someone, please correct me if I am wrong...JMO

I kind of noticed GGS reaction to that question-she 'wasn't aware' of it, so I thought she had heard the other version, & was being coy. but the question did seem to make her a little sad-not mad, like I expected. I have no doubt that they've heard some version, because she admitted that they had heard all kinds of things. I don't know if she was there, & if she was, why. maybe it really was to deliver clean clothes, but her story changed enough to make me wonder why. If she was there, I don't know if she'd have the nerve to say she saw Haleigh, if she didn't.

As I see it she can't very well go back and negate what she claimed 14 months ago as long as the family is still covering for Ron C and isn't telling what really happened..

In reference to her bringing over clean clothes that night, maybe she did, maybe she didn't, but I believe her story about seeing Haleigh between 7 and 8 that night was to provide an alibi for Ron C...since they knew he had arrived at work by that time....JMO

I wonder if little Jr. was asked what he had for dinner, what he and Haleigh did that evening, what they watched on TV, who came over to visit?

A four y/o would be able to answer all those questions very easily in my opinion.

in my opinion, most assuredly.
