Interesting that the Defense is not in agreement about sequestering the jury..
Why the heck not, I wonder?

Maybe hoping for a mistrial...????

  • #363
It is clear the defense has been as scattered as Waffle House Hashbrowns, but the day of reckoning is upon them. Thank you, Lord, for this judge...Thank you, thank you, thank you!

She actually had a "pleased" look on her face. Is she kidding?

Her behavior was giddy. I haven't seen Cindy this happy about anything ever.

Love, love, love Judge Perry! This was the BEST hearing ever!

Now JB is schooling JP on how to pronounce Lyon not Lyons. Did you hear LDB correct him on her name? NOPE.

Did I hear Baez end that with "Like a Roaring Lyon"
:doh:Good grief Charlie Brown

Judge B. Perry's demeanor commands respect. I am pleased. No more monkey bussiness.

  • #368
IMO, JB doesn't want the jury sequestered for the same reason he didn't want a gag order......he wants to taint the jury. It's been his goal since the beginning of the case.

I think Judge Perry was very business-like, efficient and pretty gracious...however, I think that as things move forward rapidly now, he'll won't be afraid to take the hammer down hard if he needs to on JB.

This is the first time I have felt this trial might actually happen. I don't have anything for or against the other judge, but this feels like things should. Too much "whatever" was going on before. Casey and Cindy and George and JB have been allowed to just run all over the law, I am ready to see this stop.

:woohoo: I LOVE Judge Perry :)

Me too! This judge is certainly into judicial economy and judicial expeditian-should of already been done!!! Go Judge Perry.

George Anthony looks a bit dejected now.

Yes I agree. I think when I look at George he realizes the actual reality of this and no longer holds an grandiose notions of his daughter walking away from this scott free. Judge Perry doesn't mess around. He is firm. He explained off the bat exactly how things will be done.

Did you notice, while the judge was talking to him, JB leaned over to whisper to KC, and the judge ended his speech with, "Mr Baez" like he was warning him. Honestly, the incompetence of JB is astounding.

Judge is my new crush. :blowkiss:

All I can say is that I am very pleased. Pleased by the serious tone of the proceeding, pleased that JBP is all business in the courtroom, as this is about a baby being murdered, and pleased that KC's day in court is finally coming. JBP is a man who has set the tone and that tone is "people we are heading toward a trial so ready your sides". Caylee, hold on just a little longer baby as JUSTICE IS coming.........FINALLY!!!

WOW. KC looks positively SICK. Back to the shackles with you, Miss Thang.

New sheriff in town, kids. JB getting the last word in about Lyon's name did not play well with me. "Like a roaring lion"? Barf.

I agree.

Okay who else thinks Judge Strickland is popping the cork out of a champagne bottle right now? Heck if I had one, I'd be doing the same thing.

OMG I LOVE THIS JUDGE!!!!!! I couldn't even watch this hearing but I loved every typed moment. WOW OH WOW WOW!!!!

And hmmm, Casey didn't sneeze once, at least no one reported she did. What does that tell you, oh sneeze prophet? Is your stomach tight now, you want to throw up? THE GIG IS UP CASEY! YOU ARE GOING DOWN!

And now I have Sick Puppies "Going Down" song in my head, lol! JUDGE PERRY IS AWESOME!!!!!! JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE IS NEARER THAN EVER, HALLELUJAH!!!!

Well great, so if the Trial begins on early May and takes even 6 weeks, that means Casey will be spending her July 4, 2011 holiday in prison.

While the rest of us are celebrating our freedom, she'll be mourning the loss of hers.

ITA and it is the only way he is going to win this thing. Glad that the SAs are "real" lawyers and onto his crap

My new favorite quote....

"That needs to be done...like yesterday."

Well, this new judge has a whip to tame that roaring lyon (and Baez) too. *lol*
