2010.04.30 Casey Anthony: Friday hearing

IMHO, Cindy acts glib. She has acted glib since her granddaughter went missing. I saw the video of Cindy at Nadia Bloom's (event where she was lost but later found, yay) and the first couple of seconds of that video she is laughing.

I have NEVER gotten the feeling that Cindy was/is any more upset about Caylee than Casey is. I feel that so strongly. Cindy is thriving!

IMO, JB doesn't want the jury sequestered for the same reason he didn't want a gag order......he wants to taint the jury. It's been his goal since the beginning of the case.

I agree with you, I think Baez would be thrilled with a mistrial. But, I don't think the judge will let that happen, if he can avoid it. He can have the jury sequestered if he wants and I don't think Baez can do anything about it.

Did you notice, while the judge was talking to him, JB leaned over to whisper to KC, and the judge ended his speech with, "Mr Baez" like he was warning him. Honestly, the incompetence of JB is astounding.

I see he didn't lose his habit of speaking to his honor and referred to him as "judge" on a number of occasions. Being reminded was like a slap in JB's face. Schmuck .............

Wowser....if you haven't watched the hearing today you are going to want to rush home and get that baby on. If you did watch it you are going to want to watch it again.

To date, this was the most amazing hearing due to, change of attitude in Baez and Co., change of attitude in Casey and even the SAO were on their tippy toes. Everyone was on their best behaviour including George and Cindy. Do you think the penny has dropped? Did Casey think she was going to go to endless hearings and there never was going to be a trial?...hell yeah! Well this little princess had her chickens come home to roost today.

I think it was wake up day for the defense.

You got that right sista! and Baez was none to happy to hear Judge Perry's thoughts on sequestering. He did not like that part one bit.

H...E...to the double L YEAH!!!! The mere fact that this judge was even TALKING about the death penalty phase was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cindy smiling and being giddy was so off. WTH??? What was her joy? That jurors would have movies and games chosen for them? Goodness.

Gotta say, KC doesn't look good at all. Frightened would be a good word.

I can guarantee with Judge Perry on board there will be NO Mistrial! He got more done in an hour than Jdge S. did in 3 or 4 hearings. No disrespect meant. Just the simple fact of a more lax atmosphere in his court vs. Judge Perry.

IMO Judge Perry will absolutely sequester the jury and bring them in from outside to Orlando, he will not go with JB et al idea of going elsewhere.

Good grief Charlie Brown is right. He was doing so well being a good, good boy, up until he came up with that little gem.
The judge didn't even acknowledge that. In the words of Mrs. Drane-Burdick , "I don't know that it warrants a response!"

Two thumbs way up!!! Love, love, love this judge. It is clear that there is a rift between Skipper and Gilligan. We sure saw that coming. I think finally reality is setting in for Casey.

Did she acknowledge Cindy telling her she loved her at the very end? George's body language looked to me like he is over this. Cindy is taking double meds to force that feigned happiness. At home I bet she is a nervous wreck. She too , at times looked scared, as I agree Casey certainly did.

Halleluja! Yes, I agree Judge Strickland is likely well pleased. Justice is coming for sweet little Caylee!

I think CM has been a wise investment. I think he told her she now has a "strict Judge" that is not opposed to the Death Penalty. Once it has been put on that track he will not remove it. Trial will continue until the end with Death Penalty on the table. She is going to trial. She is not a movie star or pop star, she is facing the Death Penalty. She must behave accordingly. (I honestly don't think anyone else has told her, plain out, straight up.)
