Seems to be a very different demeanor today. Inmate Anthony seems very pensive, stared at the judge as if she was in a different state of mind. I'm wonder what SHE was thinking. CA/GA also seemed very nervous/anxious as you see her biting her nails.
No nonsense is a perfect term for Judge Perry, Jr. Seems he will get his trial rolling along without kinks. Seems he brought order to the court...
Yes, seems the judge will bring jurors from other counties to Orange County and he wants them sequestered. Which is a wise move on His Honor's part to ensure the integrity of those jurors. I like he's thinking ahead. He wants DVD movies and games listed to keep those jurors busy during deliberations. So, change of venue will happen but they will bus the jurors to them..that is FS 910.03 Change of venue is FS 2.260.
Judge will not say what county for the change of venue until nearer trial date which is set for May 9, 2011...
Seems this trial will take about 9 weeks...6-8 weeks for state and defense to put on their chief case and another 3-5 days for a penalty phase should defendant be found guilty of murder in the first degree...huge sigh from Inmate Anthony as the judge stated this..
All in all, you see this is a very different atmosphere in the courtroom today. A different attitude from the defense/state and seemed very harmonious in front of this judge. Reminds me of the principal taking over the classroom and everyone is on their best behavior...
I enjoy Judge Perrys' demeanor, his talk, his wording, great impression of His Honor...
