Now says three weeks?

How long will it take you to give your defense? Judge asked twice JB says two months first and then he says three weeks.

  • #283
Baez doesn't answer straight without being prodded. Sheeesh

Interesting that the Defense is not in agreement about sequestering the jury..
Why the heck not, I wonder?

Kinda hard for the jury to be tainted by media coverage and leaked baloney if they are sequestered. However will JB muddy the waters if they are? :innocent:

TY to all who are giving updates of the hearing. At werk and can't watch myself.

talk about reality for Casey...Judge: "if the defendant is found guilty of murder of first degree, what do you anticipate the penalty phase taking"...

  • #288
In the event your client is found guilty of murder in the first degree....SLAP

  • #289
I wonder what kind of jury they can seat if these jurors have to be sequestered for this long. How many people can give up their lives for 3-4 months. I would be really upset if I had to sit on this case.

Talking about conviction and penalty phase. State 1 day. Baez him hawwing and judge says would you like Ms. Lyons to answer that for you? lmao.

  • #291
Hah. AL must have had him on mute and was doing other stuff...

Does anybody else think JB looks a bit like PeeWee Herman with a better suit?

"In the event, the defendant is found guilty of murder in the first degree..."

How's that coffee smell, KC?????

Think the reality is sinking in?

  • #293
I see why Mark NeJame opined that JP "doesn't suffer fools lightly".

  • #294
Is it hitting the defense, Casey and George and Cindy that the judge is saying: in the event that there is a conviction for first degree murder...that's the first time I have heard someone "official" say that out loud...maybe for Casey too!

(I hate when people are allowed to come to court through the phone) !

What is your estimate of the time to present your case in the penalty phase? If KC is found guilty.

  • #296
JBP:if defendant found guilty -how long penalty phase
JB:5 days
State:1 day
AL: week - 3 - 5 days

  • #297
Jb and CM shaking their head "no" becasue of AL's bumbling around.

  • #298
Judge Perry - "We're looking at 4-6 weeks for guilt/innocence phase, if necessary, another week."

  • #299
3 to 5 days of AL blabbing about saving KC

  • #300
KC hasn't moved
