I wish the prosecution would just hand over all dicoverables for crying out loud. Spare us all the tedium. It's a shame the defense are supposed to have to figure out what the state has and ask for it specifically in order to receive discovery. Isn't there a legal presumption that the state will provide all discovery and that all the experts, labs, etc will provide all discovery without a motion being made for every tiny piece by tiny piece? I guess not.

Seagull..I came in at the very end so I may have missed something, but to me it sounded like even the Judge thought JB's motion was too broad, as he instructed JB to redo it, listing individually the expert or processors name, and what report, notes, etc, specifically he thinks he hasn't gotten yet.

That doesn't sound unreasonable to me. I mean the state attorneys aren't mind readers.

I think the Judge implied in his response that (a) Mr Baez needs to be specific in his demands, which he obviously has not been, or there would be no need for that comment, and (b) Mr Baez needs to review the rules of discovery so he can understand what information he is entitled to, and not ask for information that is not covered by those rules, as he is apparently continually doing. The State's response confirmed that.

Looking forward to tomorrows hearing with AL and her long winded speeches...vs...JP and his get to the point....
:croc:

I believe the GAG order is for the attorneys in regards to where the judge decides the jurors are to be chosen from so that no one will know until after the jurors are chosen. IOW, JP wants to interview jurors without them knowing what trial this is for...this why he doesn't want a questionnaire handed to them either.

I really like how he handles his courtroom

If you wouldn't mind recapping his/her observations, I'd appreciate it as I don't have access to the show right now.

Body Language expert coming up after the break on In Session

Body Language expert said KC mouthed Happy Mother's Day I Love You to CA.

That her deep breathing is "FEAR".

  • #426
Just stated on InSession tv that KC smiled at GA and CA as she was leaving and mouthed the words, "Happy Mother's Day, I love you."

Body language expert said she saw KC mouth "Happy mother's day. I love you" to CA.

Body Language Expert

GA: Appears defeated, sense of hoplessness , over it and exhausted.
CA: She is exhausted.

Jean mentioning that this is now becoming more real to KC.

wow, I think Casey finally acknowledged her parents.

It seemed like she did when leaving. Watching CTV the reporter in the court room just reported that Casey told her mother Happy Mothers Day, I love you. Cindy acknowledged her and they made a connection.

BL expert discussing party photos....

You can look at those photos by the positioning of their bodies. Facial expressions tell all. Her opinion on photos......

She is having a great time. She's see no connection with worry, sadness or concern!

Body language expert says still pictures of Casey do not show worry or concern for Caylee. They show Casey having a good time.

I still am not sure why the defense put together that CD with the different news media reporting on this case, as well as the protesters. Anyone following this case is aware that was a one sided snippet compared to all the press that the defense has commented on as well as appeared. The defense is the one who benefited from media money. I just am not sure why this was shown and was it entered into evidence?

Too bad so sad CA couldn't mouth Happy Mother's Day back.

BL advice for the attorneys...

Be specific and no rambling. When you ramble...the Judge's chair is shaking..........he is saying get going...tell me what I want to hear.

Body language expert on the judge -- his chair shakes when he gets impatient and wants them to get to the point. (paraphrased)

Baez: we want, this, this, and this.
Ashton: dude, that's not discoverable. what in ***** are you on?
JP: go back to law school, mr baez, then rewrite your motion and get back to me.
Baez: k

The A's attorney up next on InSession, to discuss what the A's think of today's rulings

BC is fixing to talk to In Sessions on Tru TV

  • #440
Let's predict that BC says......the family is encouraged, that they feel the court will handle making sure jurors are not exposed to negative publicity, that they enjoyed seeing KC today since Mother's Day was yesterday.
