Shoemaker's statement about his client hoping he could do better but you've got to make do with the cards that you're dealt annoys me.
As far as I'm concerned his client dealt his own cards in the drug case and quite possibly pocketed some other cards as well.

Ronald is a prolific guy. "You've got to make do with the cards that your're dealt"....kinda catchy!

OK let's think about this. Ronald's push for a deal was made public in court. It is all over the news. Tommy's cooperation or possible deal was maybe not complete. Could the state have asked for a postponement or delay of the hearing to talk to Tommy as a result of what happened with Ron in court? Could they be ironing out a deal?

Very weird we haven't heard anything at all about Tommy in court.

Gram..did they say they working out a deal in open court?

I was thinking it was just Shoey putting a spin out there...Oh my!

what I am not understanding is how Dana Treen had an article up in an hour and a half after ron is brought into court and has no info up on tommy yet, Jean Casarez is on TV almost simultanelously reporting the preceding and nothing about tommy. hmm if silence is golden does tommy have the golden ticket?

The way that read f 15 yrs for three charges...mandatory minimum = 45 years, no? It's a good thing prison doesn't scare him.

If Ron's part of the deal is offering to testify at "possible" drug trafficking trials of MC and TC, and that deal is accepted by the SA's office (why it would be, I cannot fathom), what happens if MC and TC do not go to trial? What if by some miracle MC's attorney manages to get her through drug court instead? Or what if MC changes to a No Contest plea in exchange for boot camp instead of prison? That would leave RC with only Tommy to testify against, and I cannot see how would the state benefit from a perp testifying against a LESSER-involved perp.

I do not see any reason for the SA's office to go along with RC's plea deal as proposed by Shoemaker. It appears RC has nothing valuable to offer by way of testimony that would put MC and TC away for longer time than they could go away for even without his testimony. I think the reason the deal "stalled" this morning is just that--as proposed, it does not offer anything of value for the state.

Whisp..... dunno that is what I got from the article but I could be mistaken. I believe that is what Shoemaker told the court.

I agree. Shoey is using a little legal privilege here. There will be no trial for tommy and misty for drugs, imo, only for murder charges. Shoey is playing again....wouldn't be the first time.

Ron agreed to testify against Misty and Tommy in the drug trials, so no reason for it to be stalled the day before his pre-trial hearing. Unless of course the SA wants more than testimony about drugs. Just saying. His plea deal is not about drugs IMO.

I admit I'm a nit picker when it comes to details. My entire career required scrutiny of the tiniest details. I noticed that Ron's attorney stated that Ron would testify at possible trials of Misty and Hank. He was very careful not to state that Ron would testify against Misty and Hank. Weasel words, I know, but to an attorney its the weasel words that keep him from revealing the real deal.

What we heard of a possible deal that was offered to Ron by the state was 25 years. And we only heard that from Ron (he told Hope that he had been offered 25 years).

I think it is possible the state did in fact offer a 25 year deal to Ron in March, but it was continued until today by RC and his attorney in hopes of getting a better deal. I do not think the state ever offered RC 15 years (as was reported by LP and possibly RC's family). I think Shoemaker is trying for the 15 year deal, and as of now it looks like the state is not biting.

IMO.

Question, Why is Tommy not being held in Putnam County Jail?

Where's tommy?

Question, Why is Tommy not being held in Putnam County Jail?

It would make more sense if rc were in St Johns becuse his attorney would be closer. I think rc wanted Putnam...he know his way around the system. The usually remain in the County where the crime was committed unless there are security reasons to transfer. In my mind, rc would be a case for needing security..apparently, they don't agree with me...LOL

Misty should have abandoned her twisted love story with Ron. Ron is deeply disturbed - with or without the H homicide. No one gets any plea deals on the drug/trafficking charges unless they spill on the H homicide. Doesn't matter who had the smallest role/s in H death, they will all serve more time on these drug/trafficking charges than they would otherwise due to the H homicide. I am not saying whether that is right or wrong, only that I believe, "It is, what it is."

Ron is a small-time dealer. Who cares? Small, medium or big. Ridiculous already. Reputation of the community smeared by the drug/trafficking going on - exposed to the entire nation in the midst of the media's coverage of the H homicide - derailed by the drug/trafficking problems of the individuals. The community and officials cannot be pleased.

IMO, they can calmly state one thing has nothing to do with the other - I don't believe it. The individuals with the best defense attorneys will get the best deals on the drug/trafficking charges, but only after they spill on the H homicide.

Could be a no news day.

Given that Ron punted the ball further down, maybe ToC followed suit? Who cracks or deals first?

While ToC may have signalled to Ron he is pointing at Joe publicly, Ron may fear he is really naming Ron. At the same time, ToC has new info to process that Ron is allegedly willing to testify and is dealing.

The stakes just went up and the poker players need time to review their hands and ensure that by dealing it does not backfire and hurt them as well.

I just can't believe Ron knows anything and has not told anyone unless he was involved.
Makes no sense to me.

Ditto. What happened with Tommy's pre-trial hearing today?
