If Ron's part of the deal is offering to testify at "possible" drug trafficking trials of MC and TC, and that deal is accepted by the SA's office (why it would be, I cannot fathom), what happens if MC and TC do not go to trial? What if by some miracle MC's attorney manages to get her through drug court instead? Or what if MC changes to a No Contest plea in exchange for boot camp instead of prison? That would leave RC with only Tommy to testify against, and I cannot see how would the state benefit from a perp testifying against a LESSER-involved perp.
I do not see any reason for the SA's office to go along with RC's plea deal as proposed by Shoemaker. It appears RC has nothing valuable to offer by way of testimony that would put MC and TC away for longer time than they could go away for even without his testimony. I think the reason the deal "stalled" this morning is just that--as proposed, it does not offer anything of value for the state.
