2010.05.14 Fields, Misty sticking to her story, not surprised with Ron & Tommy

IIRC, Fields said at Misty's last court appearance he needed a continuance for the purpose of obtaining depositions, and at that time he had said there could be as many as 20 depositions. This was what he told the judge in order to get the continuance out to June; no way to know if he still want that many depos or if the situation has changed any, but I am not surprised to see some depo notices listed.

I remember one phone call between Tommy and Lindsy where T asks L what Misty's lawyer wanted with his (Tommy's) lawyer. That was weird, IMO, because I couldn't figure out what Misty's lawyer might want with Tommy's lawyer, either. I think maybe Misty's lawyer told her to pick a story and stick with it, already! And initially Tommy's reaction was "Misty needs to stop making up stories."

So now, the story is JO did it all and threatened to kill them both and also Tommy's kids,and Misty and Tommy are innocent. And shortly after, we hear Werter on TV saying Misty and Tommy have had no contact so no opportunity to collaborate on a story.

But...if their attorneys got together...

Would be interesting to know if they had ever had an opportunity to "chat" about the story their clients would tell about the night Haleigh disappeared. IMO, no one keeps quiet this long out of fear of the the perp; the real reason one might keep quiet is CYA for their own involvement, IMO.

I recall seeing a jail visit video of Misty saying something to the effect that she would not have been arrested for drugs if it weren't for the Haleigh case but that she has already told them everything and wasn't involved so they should look elsewhere. I think that is what he means by this. She was targeted in the drug investigation due to her involvement in the Haleigh case.

She was targeted in the drug investigation because there are drugs running through this case, and little Misty can't seem to keep herself away from 'em. From her party weekend, through her marriage, into her divorce and down the slippery path of friendship with Donna, to her getting mugged in a parking lot of a known drug establishment, Misty seeks out and is around drugs.

That she is also the "key" to Haleigh's disappearance is just another notch on her belt.

:waitasec: This article made no sense to me then..but now I am thinking that Maybe Misty has told on someone and is using Joe as a code name? Kind of like someone said earlier. Maybe her and Tommy are talking about someone else.

Chelsea even told NG a while back there are many versions/theories as to what may of happen to Haleigh. Including Haleigh OD'd. Chelsea claims she knows for a "Fact" that there was pills laying around the house. I would like to know how she knows this as a "FACT"? :waitasec:

I think with everyone including attorneys now "Joe" is a code name. It keeps the true story pure because the media has decided Joe is guilty.

As far as all Misty's lies, what lies do we know that Misty has told LE?

We only know about Misty's "lies" to non-LE people. Why would Misty have a reason to lie to non-LE? Maybe because she was afraid of the "truth" coming out in and the reprecussions? Maybe because she did not want to participate but was forced to "prove" that she could keep the "lies" up?

I don't think it was Misty who called in those other people to interview her and help her "find" Haleigh.

Misty may have told LE one story and one story only once she felt safe to talk. Now they are lining up Misty's story with other POI's as well as evidence.

Attorney who would got together to help clients lie and collude to avoid murder charges would be disbarred. Attorneys are not allowed to knowingly present testimony that is false at trial.

Clearly, this one won't float. IMHO. The video will prove she was a willing participant (IMHO).

I respect that others have a different opinion of MC. But it is my opinion that it isn't difficult to repeat a story to LE endlessly. When questioned to not respond to the question except to relate the same story over and over again. IMHO it just takes a hard headed person. No need to outsmart anyone. All Just my very humble opinion.

He would be better served in the court to profer that she had battered woman's syndrome and was put out to deal by RC. Might go to mitigation, would not get her off.
