I'm sorry if this has been addressed already. I am only on page one of this thread but I didn't want to forget my question. Okay if Misty was with Jr. scared and holding him wouldn't Jr. be awake and know this? Could he have said a man in black because he was under the covers and it was dark?

Or maybe saw a shadow through the sheet thinking it was someone dressed in black.

Need the transcripts cause i was so unprepared when AH said that, i could have missed some details.

A slight change was: Later, M and ToC were out walking one day, and ToC pointed out the area to M (hyperbole).

What does they have the statement on tape and are waiting to hear back from LE mean? What is LE supposed to do?

  • #64
I say just make the arrests and let the trials begin! Put them on the witness stand and let's hear it! Any judge that presides over this case would be more than happy to slap perjury charges on any or all of them.

I took that to mean clearance from LE to release it to the public.

um.

you want another story?

(just teasing epiphany. I know what you mean. For Haleigh's sake I hope the truth is a far softer story.)

Hey Emma
I think the plan was to produce a reaction from guilty parties. If they have that little girl hidden away somewhere, stories like this one might be what it takes to get a reaction. Would a parent or grandparent want the stigma of rape hanging over their child/grandchild's name forever? (Yes I think the homicide announcement was part of the whole fake search and blame Joe issue) I also think that the arrest of RC for murder will be the only thing to produce any kind of real movement. JMO of course!

That was rather a cryptic comment, wasn't it? Is there even a remote possibility that Misty confessed or told a "tale" that might pass the smell test?

I have asthma, and I'm in the midst of a spring episode, so I won't risk holding my breath ;)

Oh, OK. Cause M's dreaming again if she's waiting for any deal.

LOL Did you write that?

I'm sitting here thinking about what I heard. Not throwing pebbles at you epiphany, not by any stretch. I'm not sure what LE is supposed to do. That was kind of an open ended statement. OK so is LE supposed to investigate further? Call Misty in for questioning, send her a thank you note? It was a weird statement.

We all know more about this case than any jury will EVER hear and there isn't an overwhelming consensus here about what happened. I cannot imagine a jury could convict any single one of them of anything to do with Haleigh. Well maybe Ron for child endangerment based on leaving his children with a drug using teenage....

AH: Fields - To and JO come over to get gun
she hears H screamg
M and Jr under blanket
JO threatend to kill her and her family
they left w/H

this is the story

Above BBM. so I just want to make sure i understand... Misty's "story" that Fields has put on tape and handed over to LE as the "truth" of what happened that night is that Tommy is DIRECTLY involved(per the Bolded statement above-They left with (H)Haleigh If I am indeed understanding correctly then their(ToC&MC)acct of events that happened that night are as different as night and day!! And Tommy, after his coming forth w/the "truth", was repeatedly telling Mom&Dad to tell Misty I love her and that his "truth" was going to set both "free" or as Tommy says, "We ain't do nothin wrong. Not chit!"...
we're goung nowhere then because the whole thing LE is wanting is for their stories to "somewhat" match, not mirrored images of each other's, but consistency of the hard "facts"... And if this is true then we are no closer to anything and if u ask me, we're even FARTHER from getting justice for our precious Haleigh(IMO)!!:banghead:

Well true. I almost feel as though Tommy and Misty are sitting in jail waiting for the word to come down that Joe has been arrested. That statement just made me feel like they were waiting for LE to either accept or reject the story. But then again it could have been Art in haste trying to say something much different too.

I'm following you doobie, except I don't think Granny Flo minds about the stigma very much - so if they were thinking Misty has Haleigh hidden away - that kinda backfired, right?

er...maybe I'm not following... if not, let me have it. :)

Ye have little faith impatient. I disagree respectfully. We only "think" we know more about this case because it's been discussed so much and IMO there is an overwhelming consensus here about the who is involved with what may have happened, but not the event itself. We've got 2 of this crew admitting they were at the mobile home that night. The rest of the blanks are not filled in yet, but I do have faith that they will be. The more time that goes by, the clues seem to show themselves, even if they only come in half-truths.

Nope...nope. I'm not gonna say it...I'm not gonna say it. :silenced:

I have to put this on ?paper? before it slips my mind again! What about Tommy saying he wrote a letter to his cousin? I didn't listen real carefully, but didn't he say it was to "explain" everything? Was this a letter he was writing to his cousin but was sending it to Nanny, and wanted her to pass it on? Would the cousin be Joe? Was this all just BS from top to bottom? Is this a sham cooked up by LE/lawyers/etc? Maybe I took it all wrong.......too many things going on while I was trying to listen to the tapes.

Because she tells a story on tape it doesn't make it so. I don't think MC can be cracked, someone with out a true conscious can't be cracked. She can learn to play the game and tell you what she thinks would be in her best interest for you to hear. Although MC may know the truth it's not in her best interest to reveal it as it will implicate her. I hope that they have SOLID proof of anything that she has said from the first day until whenever this is all said and done. If any of the latest tapes are indicators of her telling a truth I'm not buying what she's selling. Sorry, I went on a tangent!

I wonder if Misty didn't get mad at Haleigh after she went to bed...maybe she peed the bed and it made Misty mad because she had just washed the bedding on her bed. Maybe she yanked her up and hit her but ended up hitting her and she fell and hit her head on something and it killed her. I can see her calling Tommy to come to her aid to help her do something as she can't just let Haleigh lay there until Ron gets home. That may be why Misty and Tommy keep making up stories about Joe and why they haven't told the real truth. Tommy would be involved because he came to Misty's aid and Misty accidentally hit Haleigh and she cracked her head and died. They don't want to tell on each other so that they go to prison for murder. RJ was probably asleep and didn't see anything. That makes more sense to me than anything that I've read so far.

I can see Misty loosing it. She was getting off of a weekend drug binge and probably not feeling good at all coming off of all that stuff. Everything would have gotten on her nerves being drug sick. Having to wash her bedding all over again would have ticked her off too. Wasn't she out of washing powder?
