2010.06.21 - Bone found in river not Haleigh's

  • #21
OK...so Teresa, the Cummings, are looking for a live Haleigh? When? Where? Did I miss something?

Were they looking for a LIVE Haleigh when they searched the wooded area near the St.Johns all afternoon? If they think that Haleigh is still alive..what was the point of them going down there to search the woods? What was the point of Misty telling GMH to call and tell the Cummings that area was going to be searched? IMO, they are NOT nor have they ever been, looking for a live Haleigh.

I had thought that they were searching for HaLeigh every day when they continually check the media and the Internet for any developments -- so they can be well prepared with any needed damage control.

They also network extensively with folks like Gma Flo for the exact same reason. Check the rumor mill and see which way the wind is blowing. The bones discovery came a little too close to home. Wake-up call.

Finally, they are searching for HaLeigh when they go to visit RC in jail and talk in those cryptic phrases, not to reveal the details of the search and its progress with the media and general public. Busy, busy, busy.

It must make you paranoid with so much checking and waiting and wondering when something might hit the fan about not exactly being too cooperative, forthcoming and, honest about the investigation. Watch your back!!!

:waitasec: Is it just me or does this reaction not seem strange? TN said that Ronald said, "He's glad that everyone knows that the bones aren't Haleigh's,". I would of expected a grieving father to say, thank God they are not of Haleigh or something to that effect. Instead all he cares to say is " Glad the Public Knows they are not her bones" Not that he is glad that it was not her bone? :waitasec: Odd, Maybe it is just me.

I had the same reaction as you, Madj. Huh? That's the grieving father's response? From a normal grieving parent, I'd expect something different. From RC, I'm not surprised, much.

Well, I am not sure what to believe anymore. First LE says no bones were found. They even put out a presser saying no bones were found to stop the rumors. Yet we now find out "A" bone that was found was likely of a Native American. So, even in a presser LE can tell mis-truths. Heck with all the players being liars and LE also telling stories, I just don't know what to really believe and it is frustrating. I can understand that LE has to keep everything close to the vest, I just wish they would just say "No Comment".
I will sit here now and wonder if other bones, teeth, or items that may of been found are related to the Haleigh Investigation.

Haleigh search netted old bone

Authorities confirmed that a human bone was discovered at the Shell Harbour boat ramp in April where a search for Haleigh Cummings was conducted, despite earlier saying no human remains were found.

Mike Warren, director of the C.A. Pound Human Identification Laboratory confirmed that the bone was not related to Haleigh Cummings and was believed to be of a Native American.

The 3 day search for the child ended on April 15, and located items were sent to several independent labs for analysis.

Sheriff Jeff Hardy said no body or human remains were found relevant to the Haleigh case and the status of the case had changed from a missing persons investigation to a homicide.

Following rumors that Haleigh's body had been found in the search, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on April 21 issued a statement saying deputies "had an anthropologist at the scene that identified all 'biological' items that were recovered as being non-human."[/B]

Greenwood said Monday's statement was issued "to clear up any misunderstandings."

Greenwood also repeated Monday that the Haleigh case is still considered an active investigation and continued the department's practice of not discussing the lingering case.

"Specific information regarding items recovered during searches, or the details of forensic examinations, cannot be discussed at this time," he said.

I watched this video a couple of times and somehow all I could hear was:

"THEY better keep on looking"

"People NEED to be looking for her"

http://www.news4jax.com/video/23982666/index.html

Unbelievable.

IMO, MOO, JHMO.

GGMS: says "THEY better keep on looking" "People NEED to be looking for her" (Not, they are going to look for her. They will keep believing she is alive until LE proves that she is not.)

The red ribbons are still on the trees at GGMS house. Why red I always asked, because purple is Haleigh's favorite color.

TN: Says she told Ron about the bones, that she found out through the media that LE did not contact them regarding the bones and all Ron said was.

He is glad that everybody knows, That Haleigh (TN pause) ..that the bones are not Haleigh's.

Again, I find this statement very odd. I also would like to know how TN contacted Ron? I know he gets phone calls, but if TN just found out through the media how was she able to get a hold of Ronald so fast regarding the bone?

:offtopic: O/T: And still Putnam Co. will not release the jail calls or visits. I talked to someone several times that asked for the calls/visits and PC will not hand them over saying there is nothing to hear. Hmm....something does not sound right with that either IMO. :cow:

actually, that opens up several questions. Why didn't LE contact Ron, since they've been treating him with the utmost respect? Did LE contact other family members? How did GGS get in touch with Ron? Is he allowed incoming calls? Will the public get to hear that call?

I may not be reading everything right, but it sounds like LE is talking about one bone, but RC used bones, plural.

The reporter stated LE didn't advise the Cummings about the find, the news media had... So my question is when did TN talk to Ron C to know how he felt about the find IF she didn't know about it already..Did she call him jiffy on the spot when the news reporter was conducting the interview, or did she just pull that statement out of her rear...JMO

Message to GGMS.. How dare you tell anyone to keep looking for Haleigh when you and your daughter haven't done anything to HELP search for or find an alive Haleigh?

Yep, she is.. Her momma too... I still cannot believe GGMS had the audacity to tell people they need to keep looking for Haleigh.. She and her daughter haven't done anything to search for an alive Haleigh..And reason being, they know she isn't alive...
ONLY thing TN has done is check out whats being said on the message boards so she can try to stay two steps ahead of the game and deflect any negative comments pertaining to her son.......Wouldn't surprise me to learn GGMS is doing the same...JMO

Agreed, it's a bit odd remark. It sounds to me like he's known all along that the bones aren't Haleigh's and so it comes as no news to him and he's just glad that everyone is on the same page with him now.

Maybe it's because LE told the family early on that the bones were too large to be Haleigh. But I guess not if LE didn't advise them of the find... :waitasec: The more sinister explanation is that he knows very well that the river search was a sham and this is not where Haleigh bones could be found.

Does LE generally tend to inform the families of missing persons about what they find or don't before they inform the media? Is it usual for the family to read it in the news that no, we didn't find your missing child this time?

I wonder if they informed CS.

Is there any chance Teresa had already read it somewhere or been contacted by another reporter before that one got to her?

Otherwise Ronald very well might have made a remark a while ago, along the lines of..."Oh never mind, mom, it's not going to be Haleigh's bones they showed Misty. Never mind how I know it, I just know, and I'll be glad when everyone else knows too."

I don't know IF another reporter had advised her of the find before that reporter got to her or not, but Donjeta, IIRC Ron C, himself told Cobra he suspected his daughter was put in that water.. He even went into detail about the burrowing habits of gators, so IF what you have stated is true, I'm saying this is just another incident where Ron C speaketh out of both sides of his mouth...JMO

“THEY better keep on looking"

"People NEED to be looking for her"

"So now, here you go, I divorced her. So now go find my baby."

These quotes from the Cummings family sound remarkably similar to a command an ancient Pharaoh once gave to Moses in the Book of Exodus, Chapter 8:

“Go ye forth into the wilderness”

These people need to understand, they’re not Pharaoh, and I’m not Moses.

IMO, JMHO, MOO

So the reporter says, "Haleigh's family says the authorities didn't tell them what they found in the river - we did. And they passed that information on to Haleigh's dad Ronald Cummings who is sitting in jail for unrelated charges."

I suppose it doesn't mean that they made the call to Ronald while the reporter was sitting there with a camera; she could have phoned and given them the information and asked if she can come visit for some on-camera comments later, and they called Ronald in the meantime.

Maybe the Ronald quote is a variation of the same theme AS expresses. Until there is proof she will not believe that Haleigh was killed and says people should be looking for a living Haleigh. In this context it makes sense to say "glad that everyone knows" because if everyone thinks Haleigh's bones were found in the river they won't be looking for the child alive, they'll just wait for an arrest and a conviction.

I wonder what TN was about to say when she stopped herself.

IMHO..Their actions since day one have proven the Cummings/Neves/Sykes clan know Haleigh is NOT alive.. So IMHO when they can prove she was abducted as they claim she was and she is still alive then I'll believe they weren't involved in disposing of her remains in a manner never to be found... JMO

I'm a whole lotta galled by their arrogance ... The Do as I say, not as I do commands just doesn't sit right with me.. JMO

I agree with you, Suspicious1.

And...What is it with Annette and her always saying "they're gonna have to prove to me."? She talks like a guilty person, not a grieving great-grandmother who is working with LE agencies to find her great-grand-daughter.

Her continually stating that "they" (the paternal family of HaLeigh) don't believe HaLeigh is dead, and now her actually coming out against LE's statements that this is a homicide, just makes her look more and more GUILTY. And foolish. And MEAN.

Poor, precious HaLeigh.

MY OPINIONS.
