I think that, among other things,LE shared the results of their questionnaire with KH. IMO,that questionnaire was a brilliant investigative tool ; it is so non confrontational. It takes the focus away from a perp/LE viewpoint ; LE can just say " x number of people at the school that morning saw TH leave with Kyron. Or x number of people saw TH arrive alone at the school.( As examples). It automatically opens up a dialogue, which will always lead to other revelations. I believe that this led to KH discussing that Friday in a different light ; things he may have given TH the benefit of the doubt about, might have taken on a whole other meaning. I also do not think that the questionnaire was ever intended to be evidentiary in nature ; it is just an investigative tool.

Something I wonder about, though : 2 polygraphs, several hours of LE questioning her, being excluded from the family statement and now this. No arrest. No confession. IMO TH is either blocking the whole thing out,or she has no involvement...... Waiting to see what this day will bring....

All JMO

I know that I've said that Kyron is deceased (and have thought so after the first four days). However, here's a scenario I'd love to believe in:

That Terri knew of Kaine's divorce plans, but she did not kill Kyron as revenge. Instead, she hid the child somewhere in the hopes that, after a period of time, she would "crack the case" and find him. In her mind, then, who would divorce the woman that found the child safe and unharmed?

Again, maybe just wishful thinking....and if someone already said this, I apologize in advance for double-posting! :) (Maybe I've even said it already -- my head is spinning from this case, so my faculties aren't what they were!)

Judge seals restraining order in Terri Moulton Horman case

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/judge_seals_restraining_order.html

A Multnomah County Circuit Court judge has sealed the restraining order filed late Monday against Kyron Horman's stepmother.

Meanwhile, television news crews and reporters this morning were at the home of Terri Moulton Horman. When an Oregonian reporter knocked at the door, Horman came to the door but declined to comment.

On Monday, Horman was served with a petition for dissolution of marriage and a restraining order – both of which came as a surprise, sources told The Oregonian.

Thanks, JBean. For sure, we all have one thing in common; that we want kyron to be found safe. I may not agree with all the opinions, but it's nice to be able to see different perspectives all the same :)

I'm confused. Why would he move out of the house? If he did get a restraining order, that would automatically force SM to move out for the time being. And, speaking as a mother, I would want to keep my daughter's routine and environment as stable as possible right now.

Your point is well taken; however, I am certain that Kaine (and LE--if they are advising him) does not want the baby in a location known to Terri. IF she is responsible for Kyron's disappearance, would an RO mean anything to her??:waitasec:

Also note:

We are starting to have two of the same discussions in different threads.

This thread is regarding Kaine filing for divorce and a restraining order.

The other thread is about LE stating Terri is not a suspect.

Either stay on topic or we'll have to do some reorganizing. Thanks!

Why does she keep answering the door?!?!?

Or maybe it was a bit of a flight response. He couldn't handle being in the house where his life was destroyed, where he had lived with a woman who he suspected of harming his son. And maybe the memories of Kyron there were too painful. Perhaps he needed to "get out" for the time being.

I wonder if there was going to be a divorce before Kyron went missing - maybe that is why the older child moved out (tensions high). Maybe SM was angry about taking care of Kyron since he was little and now Kain wants a divorce?? I'll show you - I'll lose your kid!

Didn't Kaine state during the TV interviews last week that the family would have been on an extended family vacation in California right now if Kyron had not disappeared? This makes me think that the divorce filing and RO are due to recent developments in the case. I can't imagine why anyone under these already stressful conditions would add more stress to their situation at this time unless it was completely necessary and unavoidable.

What would you do if your child was lost under your watch?

Didn't the Walsh family (John) have problems after their child went missing? I think maybe it's just such a difficult situation to live in with a missing child that it puts a ton of pressure on the marriage, if the marriage wasn't too strong at first, this would be enough to make it crack.

what does this mean exactly - just that the public may not view it?

If anyone had any doubt that the restraining order did in fact have to do with the investigation, this should spell it out for you.

I can't figure out why LE just continues to spout off "She is not a POI or suspect." It's unbelievably clear she is.

I feel the same way too. Kaine was adamant to keep the focus on Kyron. I think the Step Dad has inside info and something happened on the weekend to change the attitude of Kaine.

I agree that it is very difficult and I can easily see couples splitting up because of the stress and the suspicions and the blame games and everything but I imagine that it usually takes a bit longer than a couple of weeks unless there have been problems before the child going missing or if it's very clear (to the spouse at least) that the other parent was negligent or guilty somehow.

A Multnomah County Circuit Court judge has sealed the restraining order filed late Monday against Kyron Horman's stepmother.

An assistant to Judge Keith Meisenheimer said the entire file has been sealed. Kaine Horman, Kyron's father, filed the request at 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, television news crews and reporters this morning were at the home of Terri Moulton Horman.

but would he really be worried about that at the moment? His child is missing, I would think he would need and want the support of his wife during this time...now he has no one to lean on.

What if Kyron's going missing was at the hands of TH and/or her lover? I'm thinking maybe TH finally fessed up why she was on SI that day...she was seeing someone. Perhaps that someone is who took Kyron? TH would not technically be a POI/suspect, but it would still be because of her indiscretions that he was taken...therefore divorce. And the RO could just be so that KH has the baby instead of her so she can't take the baby and run.
