Lawyers for both parties arrived at the Multnomah County Courthouse Thursday to argue before the judge when Terri Horman should leave the family’s home. Kaine arrived with his lawyer, Laura Rackner. Terri was not with her lawyer, Stephen Houze.

The judge, however, did not make a decision Thursday and scheduled a hearing for 3 p.m. Friday.

Kaine Horman is asking a judge to order Terri Horman out of the family household as soon as tonight, so that he can move back into the house with their 19-month old daughter. Terri Horman’s attorney is asking for 96 hours, which would mean she has until Monday to move out.

Another hearing with a judge is scheduled for Friday afternoon at 3.

Houze said his client has agreed to leave the home, and was working with attorneys to make sure Kiara and Kaine had the necessary possessions they needed.

"It is simply a matter of logistics," Houze said. "It is not a simple matter to pick up everything and simply be gone."

He also said Terri Horman has been the subject of threats. He said there's been "threats of harm routinely directed towards my client which I take very seriously."

He blamed the threats on what he called a "media frenzy...a witchhunt" directed at his client.

Houze also said he didn't understand why Kaine would put his new address in the restraining order petition, when he could have chosen not to do so. He said he wonders how serious Kaine Horman's safety concerns are, considering "they revealed to my client where he was staying."

"It is one of the upmost concerns of my client that her daughter be in a safe, well-cared for circumstance," Houze said.

"I suggest 96 hours, Monday afternoon."

How extremely generous of her. In other words she wants to clean out the place but doesn't want to appear too greedy.

TY for posting that Teh - I had posted it, but you beat me to it, so I deleted mine.

Houze makes a very good point about the address, IMO.

I don't see that on there now.

I hope his lawyer has advised him of proper attire before the next hearing.

Perhaps he will soon have access to all his clothing and accessories, etc.

Kaine Horman wore a gray sweatshirt, tan shorts and sneakers to court, with a Kyron Horman green band around his left wrist.

hmmmm...Calliope it is gone! Replaced by above bit now.

And yet, it seems a little unreasonable to order her to stay 500 feet away from an undisclosed location... She NEEDED the information to be in compliance with the order, in all fairness.

I wondered about leaving the address on the RO.

On the other hand, maybe he didn't realize he could leave it off. Maybe he was poorly advised, or filled it out at the police station under extreme stress and didn't think that far ahead. I guess there are a lot of reasons he might have accidentally left it on there.

Hmmm i'm sitting here grinding my teeth as i read this.

IMHO - TH is residing there for a reason - What worries me is that if it were premeditated she'd have plenty of time to hide evidence i there is any throughout the family home.

Another thing and i'm sure i'm not the only one that worries - Kyrons belongings...

IMO if she had any morals or any sense of compassion she would of left long before now. Does not say a whole lot about her char.

LOL, if they are going to amend it, they had better get it right =) He was wearing a gray T-Shirt =) Saw clips/live on the local news.. =)

I was just struck by the description of his attire. I doubt he wouldn't have been able to buy something to wear, but then maybe that was done on purpose.

I don't know either way I guess.

I commented on that only because I was recently at traffic court for an expired inspection sticker and the court officer was not allowing anyone inside who wasn't "appropriately" dressed.

bbm

IDK if there would have been any *evidence* to hide. KH has made statements to the media that LE has searched the family home several times.

I'm sorry, I truly didn't mean to be snarky - just it's looking like Kaine will be able to get back into his house and Terri will be gone. WOO HOO I'm 61 and I agree, it's amazing what goes for "appropriate" attire these days!

Poor guy has bigger fish to fry than his wardrobe. I imagine when he left his home (hurriedly) he grabbed Baby K's stuff and more of the same that he's been wearing -- shorts and t-shirts. He hasn't been in work mode or look nice mode for a while.

Oh goodness, I didn't take it as snarky at all. I'd wondered if maybe his attorney told him it was ok for the reason you mentioned. I'm just still traumatized by my own court experience lol (although I was dressed appropriately)
