I think you are on to something. What if the problem is that because of the questionnaires, they now know that both left the school, but not together? So they know that both left, but can't place the both of them together outside of the school? Maybe no one saw Kyron in the parking lot, only Kyron inside of that school, and maybe someone saw the stepmom get into her truck alone? So it's like he left the school but vanished into thin air? That might be the only thing keeping them from arresting TH. They have all the suspicion in the world EXCEPT Kyron with her outside of the school.

I also think that teachers thought Kyron was there because his things were in his chair. I kept wondering why they'd just assume he was getting a drink of water or was in the bathroom, and I forgot his stuff was in his chair. I think that's why they weren't worried. They figured he had to be there because his stuff was in his chair. I don't think TH told them anything. I think they just assumed he was there somewhere and TH was lucky they weren't more suspicious of Kyron's whereabouts.

Yes the questionnaires (the instruments, construction) could be a factor--they may not be completely clear, the repsondents would be of all types of people too.

I think yours is a very logical interpretation and it is amazing that more kids don't disappear from school. Wonder if any objects are missing from the school, but that would be so hard to know--anything from a hammer in the custodian area, or a cart, or container...so many many questions and such silence on the investigative end. Crimes are solved by clear thinking.

I took it to mean that he was not there when Kaine said he met the bus... I did not take it mean what his usual "Can't comment on that" means...

What does his usual "can't comment on that mean"? Not picking or being a smart A, but I am wondering how many different takes people have on what he can't comment on and if it is that he 'can't' or won't?

What do others think? Maybe this should be a poll. Does he word it differently making it appear there are different reason's for not commmenting?

Well this case has been chocked full of misinformation so I really don't put much faith in so called unnamed reliable sources when these investigators have been silent as a tomb from day one.

Now if LE comes out and says about something on the computer is suspicious I will think it is credible.

This man is the head honcho and is briefed every step of the way and this is what he said and imo, he would know.

Staton said Friday that he could not comment on the report Terri Horman lied to investigators and said to his knowledge, she had been cooperative.

So the other things put out in the media are based in nothing but conjecture imo.

Okay I've gone back looking at all the references of LE talking about *place* last seen, and they've always consistently said inside the school. So I'm going to have to go with that for now, rather than the idea that he may have been seen elsewhere. There's just no indication from LE of place being anywhere other than inside the school.

So with Terri being last person per LE, then they were not seen leaving together per currently known info stated by LE.

And that leaves me right back at the beginning. Or somewhere on those Escher stairwells.

Or, what if this sub who said, "oh no, where is Kyron?", is involved in his disappearance? Just a thought... Sounds like this person made a fast exit, that's what made me ponder.

Any talk we heard in the beginning is not a verified fact per LE.

The LE stated 8:45am Terri being the last known person to have seen Kyron. This is fact. It may or may not be because this is what Terri said herself to them. I, like alot of other people, want to believe the other rumored senatios, but at this time that's not a fact.:angel:

And, let's not forget that Kyron's mom is married to a detective. Brother's in blue are handling this investigation (imho) and I think it's silly to think otherwise. Kyron's bio mom and dad are being well advised about their son's demise. I can't see it any other way.

That is a sticking point with me, as if he said last person to see Kyron...end of sentence...then that tells me a lot about what they think they know. And there would not be another person seeing Kyron after Terri saw him.

He said she was the last known person to see Kyron BEFORE he disappeared.

I think that would be illegal. They would need a search warrant. Kaine can not give up her rights.

I'm bringing a post that I made in response to Emma Peel on the "dreams/visions" board because it speaks directly to the issue of Kyron having disappeared from Skyline School.

All reasons why I cannot overlook the distinct possibility that someone other than Terri was the last person to know Kyron's whereabouts. Is it not entirely possible that another family member or someone else known to Kyron came to the school to see the science project with the little boy?

So many hours passed before anyone was aware that Kyron had been marked absent from school on Friday, June 4. If the boy had been reported missing earlier, perhaps the school would have gone into lockdown mode and a thorough sweep of the building undertaken at that point. Media outlets would have been informed and the public alerted about a possible abduction from the school. Community awareness would have been swift, and a potential abduction averted or the perp promptly subdued. Instead, no one was made aware of Kyron's "disappearance" until his parents realized that he did not come home on the school bus as anticipated.

For now, the school can hide behind the safety net of summer vacation and remain hopeful that the case is resolved prior to the start of the new academic year come fall. If Kyron is not located, or a family member is not found to be responsible, Skyline School will have a lot of questions to answer. jmo

I don't know. I just find it hard to believe that in this day and age, and especially given Terri's penchant for being online and Kaine's profession, they didn't check the family's computers. If they'd been acting alone, perhaps the MCSO investigators would have been remiss in this, but I can't believe that with all those other agencies involved something so basic would be overlooked.

I don't know about eating crow. I have always thought that was such a silly notion anyway like criminal cases are some type of game where there is a winner and loser with a prize awarded.:waitasec:

But I respectfully disagree. They are not giving the bio mother and step dad any preferential treatment in this case. They tell them what they want them to know and that is it. They do not divulge their investigation to them. As the Sheriff said in his PC yesterday Terri Horman is no more of a suspect than any of the other parents. No one has been ruled out.

Until they know what happened to Kyron and who did it they will not discuss what they know except among themselves. Young is not on the police force there.

And I don't believe for one second Desiree thinks her son is dead. If so she wouldn't have come out and said emphatically that "Kyron is alive.........."

Earlier in this thread Lavender transcribed a telephone interview made by KATU with MCSO Lt Mary Lindstrand where Lindstrand said:

"His stepmother and he were in the school looking at the science fair, had been in 2 or 3 different classrooms. I am told he went up one stairwell, she went up the other stairwell. She saw him walking down the hall toward his classroom, and that’s the last she saw him.”

If they went up separate stairwells, and TH was seeing him from a distance (someone earlier suggested 150 feet), is it possible that she mistook another boy for Kyron? Is it possible she saw someone who looked something like him from a distance and assumed it was him and left, while Kyron may have been elsewhere, where someone else might have been able to abduct him?

Also WHY would they go up separate stairwells? If they were touring the rooms together, wouldn't they have stayed together? Do we know if she said she was looking for him, they had become separated? Was she just checking to be sure he was going to class? Did they wave goodbye? (I had assumed they went up the same stairwell and she just parted from him once they got upstairs. Like she just escorted him up, said goodbye, saw him walking down the hall toward class, and turned to leave.)

It is quite strange but then honestly I think this is the strangest true crime case I have ever been interested in.

All I know if they did take any of that information from the computer they would have to do it with signed permission of the homeowners or obtain an SW and Kaine said they haven't asked him and he said they have given LE free space to search anything they wanted to do. If not, any evidence taken would not hold up in court if there is a case in the future.

Now of course they could have gone to FB and got a SW on her account I suppose.
