Great job ladies!

You know what strikes me about this story though? Since I've been immersed in Kyron's forum for several weeks, and read practically every post, to me the story barely scratches the surface of what WS is about. It certainly wasn't misrepresented, but to know Kimster was interviewed at length and then to have so little of her info actually in the article, it reminds me that all stories in the MSM barely scratch the surface of the truth. This has been the case in every story I've been an insider on, from minor local blurb to national media. It must certainly apply to the coverage of Kyron.

Very nice article!

And Haeve, you are absolutely right! I have had the same experience, having my words or thoughts edited down to 5 seconds of a 2 hour interview. It's good to keep in mind.

A lot of what Kimberly and I discussed was echoed by others she interviewed, so I don't feel slighted in the least. Just want you guys to know that! :) She sent me an email today and thanked me. She is a class act in my book! :blowkiss:

Thank you Kimberly and Kimster. Both did a great job.

This is the first article I have read that I feel truly catches the spirit of Websleuths.

Like was already stated we do do a lot more than the article touched on but I am thrilled with how Kimberly presented the facts.

This needs to be said over and over and over, If it were not for the incredible, dedicated, and fine moderators we have on Websleuths, we would not be the forum we are today.

This needs to be said over and over and over, If it were not for the incredible, smart, and caring posters we have on Websleuths we would not be the forum we are today.

I love you guys. I really do.

Tricia
PS. No spell check. Using a friend's computer. Sorry.

KUDOS to all of you and thanks for providing a place for discussion that is safe (I don't worry about who has my personal information, etc.), up-to-date, readable, and expletive free. You, the moderators, and the rest of the posters are class acts.

Thank you Kimster.

We both spoke with Kimberly Wilson. My conversation with Kimberly was wonderful.

By the questions she asked I could tell she is getting us. Understanding what we, as in Websleuths, is really trying to do.

As soon as the article comes out we will open this thread. I want to stress that if you have any questions about how I run Websleuths, about the decisions we make, ANYTHING, please ask. I have nothing to hide.

Take Care,
Tricia

Thanks to both Tricia and Kimster! The article was well done and overall portrays Websleuths and other crime sites as an asset.

The day John Ramsey called people on the Internet "Beer can collectors" is the day I went full force into Internet sleuthing.

At that time, many years ago, there was no doubt in my mind that great people were discovering the Internet and wanted to help, to participate, to make a difference.

By the way I have collected cans before when I was beyond broke and a teenage. If I have to do it again I will. There is no shame in hard work despite what John Ramsey may think.

Mark my words, you are going to see Websleuths continue to grow and branch out in ways we all never dreamed.

Websleuths is an untapped resource and people all over the world are finally discovering us.

PSSST.........

Check out the comment section of the article quickly before its removed, theres talk about a Jury meeting Monday from D's cousin.......

I noted the comments! Wow! If this is accurate information, we can expect a grand jury on Monday and a press conference on Tuesday.

In reference to DD's cousin, he does seem to know what's going on. I followed the link and he's evidently written pages of posts on another forum.

I read those posts by him yesterday. He never did name his source for the 'jury' on Monday & he was careful to state that he never claimed it was a 'grand' jury when people starting calling him a BS'er. I believe he's genuine but I'm not sure he knows what he's talking about as far as the case goes. I hope he's right though.

The 2nd page of comments is quite revealing.
