OMG Cheney just tried to make a really stupid joke about the ADA preventing the judge from making "senior citizens" work excessive hours.

Cheney's sense of humor is sorely lacking.

Burdick asking if Atty's going to split the closing argument. (ie: 1 lawyer do part of it and another lawyer do the rest). Judge saying he is not for or against this as long as there is a clear demarkation and if they want to divide certain areas.

Holy Moses the defense's closing argument is going to go on FOREVER with the BOTH of them doing it. Or was that just the state asking?

No freaking kidding. It sounds like it was more a parent scolding their whining child than an actual legal hearing. Sheesh.

I think the problem with Cheney is threefold:

1. He has a good old boy accent

2. He talks like he has mush in his mouth

3. His mustache hides his lips so we can't read them

Put those all together, and I truly only understand about 30% of what he says. Anyone who has been in the courtroom, is he easier to understand when you are there in person?

Imo, the only thing this hearing did was repeat to JB that he needs to get his a@@ in gear and get to work. He seems to be the ultimate procrastinator. He can't leave everything to the last minute. Judge is being very nice, I think.

Mason should have retired if he thinks he should not be working such hours he should not have gotten involved in Casey's case AND became involved as the new attorney for Jim Greer's case
That's 2 "high profile" cases in Orange County for Mason who made the comment the "senior citizen" should not work excessive hours.

IMO, HHJP scheduled these hearing because he knows exactly what problems this trial will encounter with the defense team.

His attitude is enough is enough, let ICA have her day in court.
