I believe JB handed LDB some CD's today before JP came in.

It wasn't until I saw this thread bumped up that I remembered that it's already been 45 days. There was no mention at today's hearing of the lab test results.

I guess we can assume that there were no significant results and JB won't be using anything from the testing at trial. But, the state paid for the testing, so I would think they're entitled to see the results, positive or negative.

ITA!
In light of what has just transpired with trying to keep reports from the state, you would think if they tried to keep it to themselves and say, "Nothing there. Trust us," that probably wouldn't fly.

I saw that also. LDB wrote quite a bit on some papers while standing next to JB at the Defense table, then picked up some papers, a CD, and what looked like a camera disc and took them to the State table.

TY for these!!
On this video, JB complains that the presumption of innocence is flown out the window. I had to laugh. Here he sits, on LKL, national television with Dr. Spitz, who believes the smell came from a decomposing body. It dawned on me that from what I have seen of the national shows, LKL, Greta, even the Today Show, the announcers all seem to believe that Casey did this.
O/T, he also complains that he can't get a fair jury, but I see him on these shows, not the SAO.
HAHA, my roommate just overheard JB saying the dogs didn't find anything therefore they should be considered inconsistent. She is going off!!
"That's crazy! Just because the body was moved from those spots...that's crazy!! The dogs are finding the smell of the body. That is their whole deal! Forensics don't lie! Neither do dogs!" :floorlaugh:

The look on this Dr. Spitz face is priceless....lady you gotta be kiddin me when Cindy asks if sweat and urine make a similar smell as human decomp and could confuse the dog. He literally laughs at her suggestions. How funny that defense hired his dad.

and here's the word "inconsistent" being used by the Defense side, again.

Baez said the cadaver dog's hit was inconsistent so they had to call in another dog...More like they called in the other dog to CONFIRM the hits from the first dog...
I agree...Dogs don't lie,

Do we have a cadaver dog thread? I said before CA wants to be at the defense table. They are in lockstep with their excuses. And they have excuses for every question posed to them. Blame the police, blame the SAO, blame...OH! And she said Casey was not stupid enough to park her car in a place where CA drives by everyday. Um, and yet? She did and CA never noticed it sitting there. What blows my mind is she spouts this nonsense as if it was truth! Who sweats in a trunk? LOL.
I love this!! She reminds me of some unapologetic nitwit, trying to use big words and big thoughts.

Right. His reasoning was "well, they didn't find the body, therefore..."
He seems to be happily confusing cadaver dogs with drug sniffing K9. LOL with that.
I am so O/T. I apologize.

The kind of folks that can afford to take two or three months and away from their family, I imagine to come to the table with some life experience. In those lives they will have heard of dogs finding bodies, drugs, bombs. etc.

There are two people on the plantet who are unaware of the keen ability that the specially trained dogs have, Cindy Anthony and Jose Baez, alpha and the omega. Just because the defenes feigns ignorance, doesn't mean the jury will, by far.

Life experience comes with HINKY METERS!!!!!!! You try to condescend to the hardworking, taxpaying members of the jury .....we'll just see what they make of that. We will just see!!!

The reason we haven't heard much about the DNA results, is simple. They found nothing that would help Casey Anthony, indeed my guess is they, like the FBI found nothing period.
NO DNA from Zanny
Kronk
Jesse
Amy
Ricardo
George
no one, as the elements took away any and all that was there at. The defense could have had these items tested two years ago to learn this.

Jose was sullen yesterday. The rain has set in. They've got nothing. We are not on Hope Springs Drive anymore.

When they take Amy's depo.......wheh.....
doom, despair and agony is going to set in.
What she has to tetify to as to Casey's whereabouts and happy go lucky demeanor is going to be like a bucket of ice water thrown on a drunken sailor. They would do better to send the shorts back out to yet another lab and stall.
It is a defense attorney joke
delay, delay , delay and hope it will fade away.

He must have been watching CA on one of her media interviews- that's exactly what she said.
I dunno, but if my grandchild was missing and a cadaver dog (one dog) was even remotely interested in a spot in my backyard I would be paralyzed with fear. I would not head for the NG show to decry their performance as inconsistent. If they then brought in a second dog and it showed interest I would be at KC's cell door demanding answers. The dog 'testimony' will hang ICA.

My first close encounter with a sniffer dog was at the Cincinnati airport. I was coming back in from a trip to England and we were all in line waiting to go through to the Customs Hall. From out of nowhere this dog and handler walked up behind me and for a second I wanted to reach out and pet this beautiful German Shepherd, then realized that the dog was headed for the man in front of me, where she began sniffing his slacks and shoes. It circled him a couple of times, sniffing intently, then sat down.
At that, the Police took him away. I have to say it was very impressive...

Sadly, a dying child with duct tape over their mouth.

I think if they will not be introducing any DNA evidence and the experts involved in this DNA testing will not be testifying then they probably do not have to turn over anything, positive or negative.

By the same token if they don't have anything by now they in all likelihood will not be allowed to use it at trial in any manner.

Does anyone know, was that 45 days a hard deadline, ie "must have DNA results by 45 days!" or was it simply an estimate of when the tests would be back from the lab?

My question is, will the bar complaint by Judge S/S come in? where he was saying it was disturbing (if true) that JB allegedly told D/C not to call police if a body was found...to call him....is that so far a leap to planting DNA? I think we will not hear much more about this. If they did or didn't get the DNA back...it will prove nothing. JMO

I've been holding my breath that they don't come back with JG's DNA- remember ICA's out of the blue trip to his place for a non-necessary shower?
I would bet my paycheck that was her purpose...

The state is only entitled to see the results or reports that the defense enters into evidence and plans to use at trial. Regardless of who is footing the bill. The defense has no obligation to reveal any evidence or scientific results that they receive that supports the prosecution. The prosecution has an obligation to hand over any and all evidence to the defense, including exculpitory evidence. The defense does not have this obligation in return. It is one of the weighted balances in the system that work to protect defendants rights to a fair and impartial trial.

I can't believe how this case has aged JB. He looks 10 years older today than he did on LKL.
