I totally agree and see where you're coming from.
I have read on another thread that Judge P can cancel (if that's the right word) Baez's Notice of Unavailability, assuming--as likely is the case--that the time off is for a vacation.
If this cancellation is possible, I hope Judge P will take steps. It seems so unfair and illogical that Baez can take time off, ask for an additional 45 days (or more) extension, and still fail to meet pending deadlines.
I am not altogether sure that money is the primary motivation, though it certainly is strong.
