10 minute recess, I can back track and give due thanks to our sleuthers.

LDB knocked that out of the park. Jurors are going to be regular people. They will be capable of following her lines of thinking, even when it comes to the case law. Delivery is soooo key!! You can make all the points in the world but if you lose the jury's attention or they do not understand you, it really doesnt matter, does it?

I honestly feel bad for the defense team.. how hard is it to come up with a solid defense when you can't even trust what your client tells you is the truth. ICA piles lie upon lie upon lie.. I am 100% positive her defense hasn't even been told the truth. Even at this moment.. she is writing lie after lie for her defense team to counter the state's arguments. No one on this planet will convince me that someone who has used lies as a lifestyle for her entire adult life, will suddenly change her stripes and (under tremendous stress in this setting) suddenly decide to tell the truth.. even to those defending her.

IMO

O/T..does anyone have a link to the hearing that doesn't timeout and require refreshing? So much is missed each time I have to do it..(like every4-5 minutes)
TIA!

I feel like the whole defense table just went "*GASP* oh no! the other side actually did their homework and knows what they are talking about!"

It is blindingly stunning - the difference between LDB's comprehensive, well organized and beautifully delivered argument in quality and quantity compared to Mason - Wow! Just wow!

Yes, it does my heart good to see her in action.
I intend to call her Linda Dyno-mite Burdick from now on!
:woohoo:

Oh MY....she brings up the Deltona murders... that was awful, gruesome...

Wish the cameras would of stayed on Casey. Did you notice the look on her face? I think she will end up cracking at trial.

O/T: Did anyone else notice when one of the LE behind Casey kind of made a gesture like hey over here kind of thing. Maybe that is the 10min break? Maybe potty?

Is she (ICA) not allowed to have any contact with her family during these breaks?

I remember one time NG was noting ICA's attitude toward her parents and said when she was a prosecutor, she didn't mind if the perps family got a chance to say hello during breaks or before, after court.

Well we all know Joy Wray is an <unusual person>. Isn't she a searcher? And why does she feel it so important to be in the courtroom? Is she on the defense side?

Just curious --

Mel

Yes, remember she's the one that George Bush had hanging from the trees, spying on people.

Lord, that made my fingers ache to type that....

I think both the court reporter and HHJP need a break.

It's annoying but I think the trick is to click on the screen every couple of minutes, before it can time out, then you won't lose any time refreshing..
