I believe Billie's attorney is trying to garner information from the body search warrant on Shawn, since Judge Hyde issued a statement to NewsWest9 confirming he issued the warrant, but declined to release it since it was part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

He can speculate or spin whatever he wants but the Judge has spoken!

The Attorney For Billie Dunn Speaks For His Client

Young says he isn't convinced a search warrant for Adkins body was issued last Thursday.

"(Police) didn't even have an arrest warrant for the boyfriend, it was a matter of wanting to talk to him," said Young.

What does not having an arrest warrant have to do with a search warrant? You can have a warrant for someone's DNA or something else... without having an arrest warrant for them.

Not to mention the judge saying there WAS a warrant for Shawn's body... but he won't release it. I'm sure he just made that up?

That makes no sense.

Another Jose Baez on our hands?

They didn't have an arrest warrant, but they had a search warrant. And she obstructed. She lied. Said he wasn't there.

Young:

Billie faces

ea class a> a yr in jail, 4000 fine
ea class b> six mo in jail, and ___fine

Yes, but IMHO those are only the tip of the iceberg!

Holiday Inn?

sorry... for all you younger people out there....it was a reference to old Holiday Inn commercials.
"I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night" etc....they were actually pretty funny.

IDK seems to me if the warrant was for say an Xbox & BD said it wasn't there would be the same thing as a warrant for Shawn's body & she said he's not here = obstruction to me.

So with him not being convinced about the warrent for adkins body he will ask for that warrent to be used in his clients case. If they did not have an arrest warrent then she could not hinder apprehension. IMO. I am also thinking "hindering and apprehension'' is supposed to be hindering an Apprehension.

Billie Dunn has hired attorney John S. Young to represent her in her three misdemeanor charges: hindering and apprehension, possession of dangerous drugs and false report to a police officer. Young says he isn't convinced a search warrant for Adkins body was issued last Thursday

Billie: "If I don't answer his calls, he'll just come over... for a little while, and that's kind of what was going on the other day".

They act like a couple of sixth graders. So Shawn came over for a "little while" so they could talk a "little bit"??

Well, according to the last line in this article, Billie will indeed continue talking to the media (with her counsel present). Predictable. Nothing about talking to LE though.. This attorney is looking for some exposure. He seems well qualified. Will be interesting to see the two of them on the interview circuit - I just know it's coming soon... JMO

There were reports Dunn was no longer speaking to the media. Young cleared that up saying she will continue doing interviews, but only if her legal council is also there.

that actually makes sense to me ...thanks
but would that affect the false report charge also?

Check out Young on the video on Big Country. IMO, BD has very competent counsel.

Her lawyer said the charge was hindering apprehension, and not hindering an investigation. He might be mistaken but if this is her charge and they did not have an arrest warrent this will have to be tossed out on court day because you can not hinder an arrest that wasnt going to happen.

SA was not arrested correct?

I dont think it would affect a false report charge. He lawyer might have something different for that.

Young went on to say, he has yet to see the search warrant investigators say they were carrying out when looking for Adkins the night Dunn allegedly lied about where he was.

"I wish she hadn't told police Mr. Adkins wasn't there, but I wait anxiously for what incredible information comes from that warrant."

According to Young, Ms. Billie was questioned for 4 hours (not 2 or whatever had been stated previously). I'd be crying my eyes out too after that!
