Billie Jean Dunn and Shawn Adkins have been “picked up” by officials from the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department, according to Pete Kampfer, Colorado City city manager .

Kampfer, who has been the official spokesman in the case, could not confirm whether the two had been arrested or whether they had been taken in for questioning.

YES!!! The only word to describe this potential development is AWESOME!!!

I was just about to post exactly the same thing!
I should be more somber when arrest comes concerning a missing little girl...so I feel a tiny bit guilty that I AM SO EXCITED about tonight's arrest!!!!!!

I actually thought earlier this week that LE's strategy might be to arrest BD and SA on a friday so that they would have to sit and 'sweat' for an entire weekend before they could appear before a judge or a bailiff....

But Thursday is close enough!

I have been sitting here thinking the same thing. I find it completely odd that he is not behind bars too. Maybe they got some info once they got Billie into the jail and that is why they are now at SA's? Someone said back a few pages that maybe they took Billie into get her to talk.

Well if this is what it took to make BD talk, she should be ashamed! And if she is not guilty in Hailey's disappearance, they should charge her with obstruction........what a way for a mother to act. pppfffttt.

The Michell County District Attorney's office tells KTAB's Michelle Ashworth they went to Billie Dunn's house to serve a warrant out of Howard County to Shawn Adkins. According to the D.A.'s office, Billie lied and said he wasn't there. She was taken to Mitchell County Jail.

Apparently, according to eyewitnesses, Shawn was at Billie's house when they rolled up and escorted Billie to the DA's office. When they drove away with her, Shawn was seen sitting on the front porch.
So why would they go to his grandma's home AFTER all that?

CBS 7 contacted the Mitchell County Sheriffs Office and Colorado City Police and neither say they have any information.

A family friend of Bilie Dunn also tells CBS 7 that they would like more information.

They say they don't know what has happened.
