I don't think that JB is doing any damage to the deputy. I think JB is making himself look like an idiot! He has tried to get the deputy to admit that he said "I'll give it a SHOT" when YM yesterday said that it was "something like that" but not those words.

I think the judge is just mentally filtering out 98% of what JB is putting forth here. This is a Frye hearing. The only thing that HHJP is listening for is things that can be evaluated under Frye. Dogs general use are already accepted, so not listening. The actual search on that day is a matter for trial, not Frye. While the dogs training logs may not as detailed as JB would want (or not want) they are present, and the question is is the dog considered trained and certified? he seems to be. Matter done. Time for nap!
