2011.04.04 Motion Defendant's: For Withdrawal of Appointed Counsel

  • #241
Could CM and JB have fired DS on behalf of Casey? :dunno:

  • #242
Ok.. Let's seriously number the possibilites:

JB is not death penatly qualified..... so it could be him but I doubt it..

1. D. Simms
2. C. Mason
3. A. Finnell

I really doubt it would be anyone but Simms? :dunno:

What about...

4. All of the above - Memorandum signed by Baez (joking kind of - what if they all told him to shove it? )

WOWSERS... I really don't know what to think. So, if it is CM, it's ok, because AF is death qualified?

I guess what I am saying.. It isn't going to be JB. He is the only one not DP Qualified, so it has to be CM or AF right? or no?

I wonder if CM could have been advised by someone to leave after his recent poor performances and the crass gesture he made in court the other day? I can't imagine that such disrespect shown to the court and it's officers would be looked at lightly!

Darnudes that would make my YEAR! Just to hear that buzz on the media...I couldn't stop laughing for months.

Well, JB isn't being paid any more. Did the court appoint him after she became indigent? R what ever that word is.

I have my $$ on LKB.

As fun as that sounds... he is not qualified to be a death penalty attorney.. right?
Or am I missing something?

I'm far from being a law yer so I could be totally wrong and probably I am. If I recall somewhere i heard that when a person is indigent and the previous hired attorney is allowed to continue on even though he isn't appointed, that term is widely used for them.

LKB has already filed for withdrawal, it was at one of the hearings and Mr Ashton said he liked working with her and ICA looked pissed off with the comment...lol

Not to worry kids. I'm sure Cindy will step in pro bono. She's lead defense already isn't she?

  • #256
For some reason I thought LKB already handed in her notice?

I thought LKB already withdrew some time ago ... I'm pretty sure it was before the Oakridge depositions because I was surprised she was still involved ...

Yes, I just looked it up: 10/22/2010 Motion to Withdraw as Counsel (Linda K. Baden, Esq) ...
Now, I remember she cited money issues, not being paid expenses ...

I will be so disappointed if it is LKB. I, too, thought she had withdrawn awhile ago, but I trust SOTS's opinion.
