We have a friend with an eyelid like this, he is very self concious about it. Why do so many comment on this mans eyes? It offends me.

It was a natural question which was quickly and respectfully answered by my fellow posters. :)

I think a lot of people don't realize that he has a prosthetic eye.

At first, I thought he had suffered a stroke at some time. After reading the article about him, and learning about his injury at age 6...it made sense.

I do notice when he is tired that it does tend to droop a little more...just like we all get "tired eyes".

I don't think anyone means anything offensive by their comments. I think that if they don't know about his prosthesis that they worry about it being a sign of an impending stroke or similar.

I understand the curiousity but could you imagine seeing comments on the internet about your physical appearance? They may not mean it to be offensive, but it is, imo. How many people would ask the man about his "fake eye" face to face or even ask; "what happened to your eye?"? Not many because they know it is rude on some level, at the very least out of line. :twocents:

Boy does KC keep her mouth covered!!

I am puzzled by HHJP's eye lid today. He must be tired, because the droop is far more profound than yesterday.

He said before closing yesterday that instead of resting he was going to have to do a lot of research re JB complaining about the 400 Dr. Vass compounds....

Pastor is very different from a catholic priest he may believe in the death penalty.

Just turned on INSession.....much better........I see ICA now........

That could be true - but then he may believe an eye for an eye, and that vengence is mine, sayeth the Lord. Religion is always complicated, and can complicate.

He must be a very good associate pastor if he gets that many calls, probably very compassionate.

So true.

I think HHJP has realized they are striking jurors now when all that should be decided is hardship.

Does anyone else believe that ALL these jurors truly will not get paid? Is anyone double checking them?

I'm in Missouri, but EVERY employer I've ever worked for - full or part time - has ALWAYS paid for jury duty days. Some required that our jury money be turned over to the company, some did not, but ALL paid me. I never had to take vacation or PTO days either.

I don't get it.

For 6-8 wks.? That is a long time. I can see an employer not having a problem paying for a few days or a week of jury duty but 6-8 wks. may be of concern.
