Mr green was NOT upset, he had a grin on his face, and upon being sentenced when he went to stand up you could tell that he thought that it was ridiculous, as he attempted to roll his eyes. He didn't even have ANY remorse for what he did, just thought it was funny.

Something tells me we will hear from Mr. Green again in the near future. :loser:

I think they probably gave her a shot of some kind of anxiety medicine that kicked in right away. That could probably explain the quick recovery. I think she truly did have a panic attack, and I have had one before, and those shots they give you work immediately!

You know, I don't think they gave her a thing. They would have had to take her back to medical. They don't have a nurse with supplies at hand for anything that could come up. They probably just told her to take deep breaths and drink some water.

Inmates are not usually given meds to deal with anxiety attacks unless it is very, very serious. They just suffer.

I surely hope that this little insight and peek into the personal lives of local citizens..give ya all insight that MEN are no longer considered the "Bread Winners"..Most of these women are the sole bread winner, and would be on the streets IF had NO INCOME...Yikes...Society has certainly changed in the past generation, eh?

True, but we do still have a small part of society that believes MEN can't take care of their own children without it being thought of as a "hardship". :waitasec: Most of the men that I know are perfectly capable of parenting their children while Mom is away.

Pinnellas County must be full of people suffering hardship. I've been called often for jury duty and very few have hardship..wth?

It's mainly the length of time required to serve. It would put a hardship on me because of my animals.

I remember a judge in our central court here who said that once actually went across the street to a bar in the middle of the day and grabbed some drunks out of the bar to serve jury duty that day! Apparently, they can do that. I was surprised! They needed jurors in a pinch and that's how he got them. Imagine them serving on a jury!

In any event, I guess HHJP could actually got to a homeless shelter and find jurors, as he earlier joked.

LOL. Priceless.

Please tell me it wasn't in central district? The 4th Street Courthouse.

No complaints on that.

Is it possible that going to the shelter would give the DT something to ask for an appeal on?

Yeah, HHJP was really kind of joking. He wouldn't do that. I think he was making a point to JB.

3067: Hardship? Yes. I've been out of work for almost two years. I recently got a job part time. That would be a hardship. They will not pay me.

HHJP: Financially can you do that?

It would be very tough. In the sense I would have no money.

HHJP: Excused.

In this case, I think its the length of the trial. I think more people would be able to serve on a trial that was only expected to be two or three weeks.

3244 - male

asks to speak in private

  • #2,638
This juror asks to speak in private to judge about hardship and permission is granted.

  • #2,639
3244: Hardship? It would be an extreme hardship for me and my family. May I speak in private?

HHJP: Yes. Attorneys may approach the bench. Side bar.

  • #2,640
