I actually like PJ's who have a hard time answering questions about the death penalty. To me, it seems that they are really considering this awesome responsibility and want to make sure they follow the law.

  • #163
No questions from DT because they love this guy.

If this were not such a serious subject, this could be a great drinking game. So many words to choose...I think I'd go with "Mitigating"

This guy is too easily swayed. Seems like a nice guy. Honest. But, too easily swayed. IMO.

  • #166
KC's uncircling his name - PJ has a four year old daughter.

DT asked no questions concerning DP of this pj.

Now they are catching on. DT wants this guy - against DP. Won't question and will make State use a strike to get him dismissed.

Its obvious that this guy has a high likelihood of being dismissed. DT wants the state to use a strike on this guy. Jury selection is a cat and mouse strategy game - each side gets so many stikes - make the other side use theirs up first - etc. etc.

Yeah I'm seriously going to have to go get lunch or something during that time. I really don't think I could handle listening to it.

:eek: :panic: :denied::denied::denied:

LDB and more lawyer terms. So much nicer to say son and daughter, instead of male and female child.

His car was broken into so he knows how it feels to be a victim of a crime. So he wouldn't take to kindly to stealing....

WHAT!? What about our Caylee?! She didn't deserve death and ICA is farthest from God. Ohhhh my. So mad that I have to be at work 8-5 M-F. Vacation is calling.
Some Christians don't believe in the death penalty because they believe only God is the decider of our life span - good or evil. The creator and destroyer. I'm not saying I agree, but I've had interesting discussions with fellow Christians who made a compelling case for their point of view, imo.

Victim of a crime: Car was broken in to. I say this with all due respect, they need to let him go home to his family. He is not jury material. Sounds super sweet, though :)

I am not overly religious, but the way I am to understand it- Caylee was an innocent. A beautiful child. Of course she would not face judgement once deceased she would be welcomed with a love like she had never known.

The person who murdered that beautiful soul however...

Anyone with me in thinking the DT are going to argue to keep this PJ and try to force the SA to use a strike?

  • #177
If the PJ fill out a questionaire, why couldn't that questionaire include questions about their ability to serve (hardships, health, etc), and their views on the DP. That would streamline this process.

Picking up on LDB's questions about knowing anyone accused of a sexual assult crime.....and whether he has ever looked up driving directions to a location in orlando other than the resort area.

  • #179
He sounds like he don't to have the media anywhere near him after the trial.
