Just thinking that the DT is planning to use all 10 of their strikes when they reach the 12 mark, just to delay this further. At that point they will have to re-interview at least 10 more potentials. :maddening:

Has discussed the case
Has not formed an opinion about guilt or innocence

I'm a little surprised that she was not objected to (by either side) based on her answer about solving the 'mystery'. It is NOT the jury's duty to solve the mystery, but to base their decision on whether or not she's guilty based only on the evidence provided.

It may not be known as solving a mystery but a juror has to put the pieces of the puzzle together or connect the dots and they will get a pretty good picture of what has happened. And even if a piece or two of the puzzle is missing or a few dots aren't connected you would still be able to get a pretty good picture of what has happened... MOO! :)

Let's move the discussion about "alleged" abuse out of the Jury Thread. I am sure we have a thread on this for extensive discussion. When I get a moment, I'll bump it up.

sorry - will remove my post

Jean C. said state will strike the last woman...guess we will have to wait and see.

I think they're being given the opportunity to strike as they finish with each one, and as long as they don't backstrike once they hit 12, then those 12 will be on the jury.

To me delaying this serves no useful purpose for the defense team.

I doubt it. They'd have no choice but to accept the next 10 which would limit their ability to choose wisely if they did that.

Can you put aside what you know, what you have seen and consider the evidence solely on the instructions I give you.
Are you 100% sure - yes I am.
Mr. George is up.

Weren't they supposed to have a phone call regarding the hair banding research today?

Next up should be juror 1011 - male - no hardship, diabetic, retired, single.

Oh diabetic dude - I'll pray for him. DH got up late this morning (Friday the 13the no less), starts harping on me, DS decides at 6:30 he needs a haircut, where's the new cereal, milk - will you make me brownies for award event (yah he received a good citizen award in band).

Dang it all if I didn't start feeling woozy, yup, sugars are up. Had to run off and take a metformin and a tiny bit of OJ with water.

Stress is NOT good for any diabetic.

MOO

His voice is beginning to sound stronger now. I was a little concerned when he first took the stand.

A thank you to Frank George.......we always forget to add him. He's like the silent partner at the SA table.
