HHJP: did you heed? no media?
yes
HHJP: media? internet searches? social media? twitter?
I don't even have those, no. Yes I did heed that.
HHJP: prior to coming here, going back a couple of years had you heard anything about this case?
yes
HHJP: the point of reference from whenever you first heard up until you came to court.
Just that it was here.
HHJP: when did you first hear about this case?
I heard where it was being moved for jury selection. Living in FL I heard about the case on tv.
HHJP: off and on something about this case, you have heard?
yes
HHJP: were you an active follower?
no, when it was on tv we did watch it if it was on but now we do not have cable.
HHJP: you made an active part of you life to follow coverage, not one of those people?
no
HHJP: tell us what you saw on the television accounts.
I can tell you what I know or have heard. 2008 I was in NH in the summer, I heard about it on the news, in FL. Missing, the fact there was a missing child, then the facts images of pictures of specific faces. that is what I remember.
HHJP: what is the next thing you remember hearing about this case?
the missing child had been found and there were questions.
HHJP: do you know what those questions concerned?
who what and why.
HHJP did the news answer that?
I don't think so.
HHJP: i take it the next thing you can recall was last Sunday and if you recall which station provided that coverage?
channel 28 ABC speaking of coming to Penallas co because it is high profile.

with my daughter who is 29 and has a two year old daughter. she asked if it was this case. she knew.
HHJP: did you express any opinions?
I told her I had to be neutral about it.
HHJP: did the convo end with no other convo?
yes, she realizes the severity.
HHJP: if you are selected you are required to based your decision only by using the evidence as applyed to the law as I give it to you. any problem?
no
HHJP: as a result of the news you have seen about this case have you formed any opinions about the guilt or innocence?
no, I have nothing to go on.
HHJP: presumption of innocence and the burden of proof rests on the State of FL. the defendant does not have to prove anything. if she does not testify its okay and you cant wonder why. any prob?
no
HHJP: as humans we hear things and we are not like computers and cannot erase. can you in reaching whatever decision you make in this case, set aside anything you have heard outside of this case. like all human beings things will make us remember, can you put it aside and not utilize this in making a decision in this case and base it only on the law I give you?
Yes.
HHJP: any hesitation or reservation?
no
HHJP: are you sure about that?
I am.
