I believe His Honor has changed his mind about how many alternates...today an article posted it's said 3 alternates...I know His Honor wanted 20 in all but the process is taking too long....and he wants this trial to start this week...JMHO

I saw that reported! I PRAY that is wrong and the media screwed up because IMO 3 alternates is NOT nearly enough. 6 alternates, I could live with.

I hope they brought Lysol, or Febreeze or some dryer sheets to eliminate 99% of germs...wouldn't do to have the whole DT and their paralegal in the infirmary.

The 3 makes me incredibly nervous as well. "Penny wise, pound foolish" comes to mind...i.e., save a few hours (or even days) now at the risk of a mistrial later because you run out of alternates!? Doesn't make sense to me at all. The OJ trial comes to mind when they ALMOST went through a healthy number of alternates before it was over.
