Wonder where in Jersey her father was LE?

  • #302
lots of coast guard folks in pinellas

  • #303
Her dad was a NJ cop and she was a victim of crime

  • #304
I agree but you never know

At this point I'll be happy if she doesn't walk out of the courthouse on Cheney's arm, hops in a shiny RV with her BFF and starts adopting Irish children.

She had a woman break into her house and stole things.

the judge also said if they cannot get a jury here he'll just move back to Orlando to find jurors

Good! Because somebody has to do it regardless if have heard of this or not. Honestly, I think ICA is getting protected more right now, than Caylee ever did.

no grandchildren

I remember in the Scott Peterson case that the jury could recommend death and that the judge made the final decision BUT if the jury decided LWOP that the judge could not impose a death sentence.

Is it different in Florida?

Aha. I do not know. Gitana, are you out there?

This PT has made 2 references to her son 1 -he would 'kill' me and now he would 'murder' me. Weird in the context.

She is very cut and dry, I kind of like that!

I really hope the DT doesn't think that KC's age is a mitigating factor. She was in her early 20's, and she had a child. How many of us know at least one person who had a child while under the age of 23, is unwed, and still stands by her responsibilities toward that child? I know of SEVERAL.

My mother had me a week after she turned 16, and my sister a year and a half later. She worked TWO jobs, did not live at home, was single (our father left shortly after my sister was conceived, and was unemployed a good portion prior) - and yet we were NEVER mistreated, neglected, etc. Big point ---- obviously, I'm still alive.

SO not buying it, and I'll bet many others will not either.

BBM.

Ugh. I'm so sad. That woman is totally going to hang this jury. I'm going to pray that the others can talk some reasoning into her.

I guess I am alone here, but I just did not get the impression she was strong enough to stand up to 11 other people who disagreeded wth her. But I could be wrong.

good she thinks about her wording...good sign

  • #317
she was an alternate in a criminal case

DT is not going to like her with her father being in LE. Also liked the attitude when she talked about the burglars coming in and 'taking what they wanted'. She's not going to like ICA's (or her family's) sense of entitlement.

Under Floridian law, the Jury's verdict as to sentence, either way, is advisory. Therefore a jury can elect to recommend LWOP and the Judge theoretically is able to impose the DP.

However, it is highly unusual and (IIRC) there are to be exceptional circumstances to warrant a judge declining to impose the Jury's rec sentence.
