I hope he asks her who she feels bad FOR?

IS WS refreshing hard for anyone else?

But, if that is what is allowed under the law, there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. jmo It is going to take a long time for this, no matter who wants it to go quickly.

I totally get that, and don't object that it is the law, however, if you know that you are not going to accept or are going to strike a juror, then do it. No need to wait and do it one by one to keep the judge from getting the required number of jurors, in an attempt to waste everybody's time.

I am so confused...we have 12 to be sworn in, so who picks the alternates? Why are we going on if JB was denied. Sorry

I agree with you except for this specific case.

I was just responding to this when the DT struck another juror. IMO, this is their gameplan.

The thing is, Baez is inexperienced, plus, IMO, just a bad attorney. Every time another attorney signs on, I expect things to improve. Most have been very successful, experienced attorneys. But things do not improve. IMO it's pretty bizarre how a lot of this case has been handled.

CM is quite experienced with DP cases. I am sure he is advising JB on how to handle this.

They had better be very careful, the judge has already told them if they don't seat a jury here, they will be going back to Orlando to seat one.

I think we all need a group HUG.

Fun Fact: Geraldo once described Baez as his "brother from another mother"

My fun fact: I wouldn't want to be related to either one of them. :floorlaugh:

JB only has 3 more strikes left. I bet he's going to regret this move. All he's doing is delaying! It makes me angry that he's resorting to delaying tactics.............how is delaying the trial by one or two days going to change the outcome?

I bet he was regretting it as he was saying it. His demeanor was off to me, and I wonder if they will stop striking now.

This WILL bite them.

I think the mitigating factor should be the age of the victim? It wasn't like Caylee Marie was holding her at gunpoint. Caylee Marie was a 2 year old precious little murder victim buy a 22 year old ADULT.

MOO

Mel

I think we all need a group HUG.

She recalls seeing this story on the news but not GA & CA's names, she is reflective in her anwers about what she remembered from the news . . . remember her parents were on the news, not sure if they were being interviewed . . she remembered the Mother and Father (GA & CA), remembers hearing about the child's remains being found, doesn't remember where remains were found . . . thought the child was buried

JB and CM deep in conversation. Neither looks particularly happy. Serious expressions, or maybe "grim" is a better description.

he has 3 left... he will have his miserable hand forced by the end of today and 12 will be sworn! you watch! moo

I hope the judge makes them stay until they have 12 tonight. Mason can complain all he wants - he is causing it.

I'll bet the judge is going to go overtime until a jury has been sworn TODAY. This is going to go to overtime I bet!

I hope HHMP decides to go forward and continue until a jury is sworn and seated.

It's time for JB to be thwarted!

Yes, she can change her plea up to and including during her trial.

I think this is what they'll do. Go all the way, as far as they can and then do a plea.

  • #539
I don't know why. They have their one wild card they should be happy.

They're still stalling because they have no case and they need more insurance than just that one wild card. They want a full hand of jokers. <pun intended> ;)

They only have 3 strikes left. They're going to have to fold either way pretty soon. However, they will have one more objection for the record and it will, once again, be denied.

well, he has 3 strikes left and they have 4 more this afternoon...
