It annoys me. I really feel he tries in his way to "connect" with the pj's, trying to make them like him so they will like his client. I cannot stand the man. I know attorneys like him and find them to be underhanded.

The personal little touches, about books, sports, whatever...icky.

The state does not do this and that's why i feel less intelligent or more gullible jurors will be more attracted to the defense.

I totally agree with you and I would even go so far as to describe it as smarmy as well as underhanded.

But as to the bolded above, I think even the less intelligent or gullible jurors will get sick of it rather quickly. A steady diet of milk and honey looks awfully good in the beginning but tends to get sickening pretty fast, IYKWIM.

I would really like to see more women on this jury. If the majority end up as male I think that is better for Casey but if they find her guilty I wonder if that would raise an issue later of jury peers gender bias or something just like race does sometimes?

I was talking to my DH about this idea that the DT likely wants a more male oriented jury. I think it's offensive that the DT or anyone would believe that the male psyche would be so enamored with ICA that they couldn't rule in the favor of the evidence.

Sorry, DT, she isn't that pretty and even if she was, men just aren't THAT unreliable. We need to stop beating down our men, ladies. I truly believe whomever is picked for this jury, be it male or female, will do the right thing for little angel Caylee.

Can someone explain to me the significance of the "odd" number jurors and the "even" numbered jurors. Why does this matter?

Their number determines whether the SA or the DT will be first to challenge the PJ.

The assumption being that it is fair. If the State goes first all the time defense could change their answer depending on what the state says. This way the state goes once and then defense goes once. I know, I don't get it either. jmo

3308: He had baseball tickets to see the Milwaukee Brewers, but canceled them because of the jury selection.
3015: Female, no hrdshp; no family or financial; medical, needs labwork done once for kidney transplant; HHJP asks about "any" lab and there's no problem; will be pd by work, born in Warren Ohio
3185: Male, Jim (he mentioned his name in court), 53, no hardships, has plane tickets to leave Thursday. Currently unemployed, enjoys photography.

KC always walks so far ahead and this time the LEO literally doubled her pace to catch up to her.

LEO's are onto ICA's game of pretending she is just another participant. Each day they have become more aware of her little game and subtly have moved in to stop her behavior. :woohoo:

I noticed that, too -- ICA tries to walk so far ahead of the court room guard because she does NOT want anyone to know she is the defendant and has to have guards following her around ! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
