Didn"t JB say recently they were ready to go to trial..If that is the case I assume that his defense of her is pretty weak and he knows it is not going to fly. If he thought she was innocent you would think he would want this to happen now and get his client free a soon as possible. I think she knows she will be found guilty, unless she is playing CEO again. JB is delaying for a reason. No DEFENSE that will work.

Honestly, I don't see why that should be a problem? Question the remaining 15 and be done with it.

Because if he strikes or the State strikes or they are dimissed for cause - and we run out of the 15 before we reach the number of jurors we need - then they will call in more jurors.

If you recall the court has already gone through a pool of jurors and had to call in more.

It could continue to happen. You could have 13 jurors dismissed for cause and then DT and SA use their strikes and we are back to square one.

Still shocked over the court room situation. I don't htink Judge Perry should rush this process because he is losing the court room. Just my opinion. I think Baez is right saying his client comes first over hotel rooms and court room issues. Sorry every one. Just want the state to win this fair.

Dont forget we need 8 alternates. Might as well go through thebother 15 then let the dt strike 1 and the state strike 4. That would give us 21. 12 jurors and 9 alternates. Assume the defense and state gets 1 strike each for alternates. We would have the number. Plus DT can't use that as a appeal issue.

Can't either side just excuse for cause without using a PS?

They could easily shorten it. Yesterday there were jurors that flat our said that they thought KC was guilty but the judge kept questioning them. At that point they should have been dismissed. I think the order of the questions would have eliminated some of them a lot faster. IMO, time should NOT be the mitigating (haha) factor in choosing a jury.

It's the 2nd time I've heard someone on IS say "double jeopardy"..That word freaks me out so much in this case I couldn't even concentrate on the reason.. Sorry!

There was a DP trial in Vermont or New Hampshire (can't remember off the top of my head) where jury selection took 4 months!

I posted about one of the Rowan Ford murder trials that tried to seat a jury in April 200 miles from where the crime occured and they couldn't do it after going through 200 pj's. Couldn't find enough jurors who were not biased or were dp qualified. The Judge declared a mis-trial and they are in the process of moving elsewhere-the trial was supposed to start in April but they moved it to next year!

The second defendant is set to go to trial in the fall. Anxious to see if a jury will be seated for him without any problems. This is in Missouri, both are DP cases.

Rowan will be gone 4 yrs. in December.
