I can't see how this is the fault of the defense. They never set a time limit on jury selection. His Honor did. How did he not see this coming? It is not required for the DT to submit to a prearranged time limit. They are allowed to do everything they have done. They are not the only ones taking so long to questions each juror. This has been an agonizingly slow process. How could it have been any other way?
Sorry, not pro DT, but this is on the judge, imo.
I tend to agree with you. In DP cases, it does take longer. ie, It took 6 weeks to seat a jury for the Peterson case. In the OJ trial (LWOP) it took 8 weeks.
To try to wrap this up in what - a week or so, seems dang near impossible.
And since we have yet to reach 12, let alone any alternates -- I say it's not going to happen.
Then again, maybe I'm just being grumpy
