Okay..just tuned into TruTV
So they only have this court room for 1 more day.
Now I understand Jose, Now I understand.
The DT is doing the Dance called DELAY

If they don't seat a jury by today or tomorrow...they will start all over again...
Whatever happened to Casey can't wait for her day in court...WHY the Delay? Why don't you want this trial to start?

Well come on back to Orange County Judge Perry...
I just heard a replay, Bristol, Fl...hmmmm go up to the panhandle..

JP sure has his hands full with this DT and I think he is about to blow a gasket. I was under the impression he could tell JB just how this trial is going to run and to STHU and sit down. It may be because I don't know much about AF, but she almost looks perturbed about all of this JB crap. JMO.

That is what the problem is, for the DT that is, they don't want a jury w/alternates.. they will file a motion to strike the whole jury etc...

The defense does NOT want this trial to start period!!!

Don't all juries have alternates chosen? I'm not too familiar with these things, so please excuse my ignorance! I'd have thought that would be exceptionally desirable given this particular case. :waitasec:

I can't see how this is the fault of the defense. They never set a time limit on jury selection. His Honor did. How did he not see this coming? It is not required for the DT to submit to a prearranged time limit. They are allowed to do everything they have done. They are not the only ones taking so long to questions each juror. This has been an agonizingly slow process. How could it have been any other way?
Sorry, not pro DT, but this is on the judge, imo.

I also wonder why they just can't contiue questioning the rest of the jurors today and tomorrow morning to get the 12 and the alternates. What harm will it do to continue up until atleast noon tomorrow leavign time for the swearing in in the afternoon?

HHJP should ask prosecution whether strike (if no answer), then ask defense. If defense wants to use last stike, move on...

If defense does NOT, we have TWELVE JURORS...

I think that is what they are about to do, Kent. The State asked for a 5 min. recess to discuss/consider their prior conversation at Sidebar. (w/ the PJ).

I really like this courts bailiffs and guards...they are doing a very good job, on their toes and very professional.

DT still wants Miami is my guess....

And IMHO that will never happen. Miami is overloaded with cases and crime. And, I'm willing to bet the language barrier would be near impossible to overcome.

FOX is doing a clip now about this. Saying the media is possibly getting in the way.

What the DT has failed to consider is all the jurors sitting in the back waiting, are going to be furious with the DT and hold it against them!

You would think, except they don't know or shouldn't what the delay is.

This makes me so sad for Caylee. Justice is so close we can taste it and the DT and Casey are just pushing it further away!!! This is such torture! Caylee doesn't deserve this! It's been three years already!

I know this, if I were pot juror and then they released me after who knows how many days because of Baez and his imcompetence and refusal to play fair - I'd be pi$$ed. Baez and co better watch their backs after this one, because you know how crazy people are today. Someone may take it personally.

I disagree about this pj being proud of his life. I believe he holds grudges and lives in the past. Writing a play/book "You took my life away" about his HS sweetheart sure doesn't tell me that he's proud of his life. Sounds more like living in the past and holding a grudge or at least feeling sorry for himself and constantly wondering what life would have been had his HS sweetheart NOT broke his heart.

I'm not defending this pj, because I agree with you, just be cautious & strike him. Neither side can feel comfortable with him. But musicians are very sensitive so I don't blame him for still being hurt by his GF from high school. Very heightened awareness of his feelings, I guess!

I am actually a little surprised to hear this NOW. Could they not have adjusted the questions to the jurors differently or at least been pro active a few days before. Imagine going thru this all over again! YUK.
