The gag order would have been good but would it have stopped the media from reporting on the discovery released and the pre-trial hearings? Not sure how that works.

Just guessing but gag order to me means nothing comes out?

Just checking in! I've seen a few posters mention something that happened this morning, what exactly was it that happened this morning?

I'm hoping this does not spell out more delays, come on JBP....justice for Caylee!

As a FL taxpayer, I think it's time for the governor to step in and force Pinellas Co. to give them an additional day or so.

I know they won't come to Broward county (just north of Miami Dade). Our courthouse is equipped to handle this BUT it is falling apart. There is huge public outcry about spending the millions they want to build another new one. Plumbing pipes burst all the time and ruin file rooms. Toilets back up frequently. I can't count how many times the courthouse here has been closed because of structural problems in the past 2 years.

Oh well, we could have gotten a jury here too. Plus I would get to go!!! (guess I got ulterior motives now too don't I :crazy: )

JB s plan may be to stall since so many pj's remember specific details and get more time in hopes people forget. So many people are telling the court they feel she is guilty and this may be his revised plan.

Why a sidebar after the meeting in chambers? Is there a difference between the two, legally speaking?

Is "In chambers" off records and "side bar" on records.

If that is correct, then maybe why they went to side bar to be on record.

The only people who really read the discovery is us! Even if people had seen it on the news... they don't comb through every single piece of paper that has been released under the Sunshine Laws like we do. A gag order would have done a lot of good in this case! A lot of good!

Yep and Baez and Kasen fought tooth and nail against the gag order.

Right. The state tried to strike her and Baez used a Baston challenge and the Judge agreed, which is why she wasn't struck. (sorry, I didn't finish my thought in my last post... No coffee yet) at this point, there's no way to strike the entire jury... There are 11 potential and only 5 strikes left (1 for defense and 4 for state) if the state strikes this guy for cause (could be because of the private sidebar) or uses a strike, there are still 15 more to question... Of those 15, I expect some will get booted for thinking she's guilty... There's still enough there to seat a jury and have some alternates (probably not 8, but maybe 4)

I'm going to remain hopeful until all 15 are questioned... I really think HHJPs speech was more of a "we have 15 jurors left to question and only a limited time to do it, so you better be willing to work some late hours to get this done because this is our only shot!" talk.. Not, we're not gonna be able to do this, might as well throw in the towel speech...

JP told the defense that they only have the courtroom until tomorrow. If a jury isn't seated by then he made it seem possible that they would start all over again somewhere else. :banghead:

I doubt it. Just noticed KC is one of those f"ake facers". Meaning she makes exaggerated expressions with her face to show emotion when she really doesn't care about what is being discussed.
