From what I heard each side gets one strike for each alternate.

So I don't think there will be enough for any alternates. If they chose to use those strikes we would be back to zero on alternates.

Oh wow...maybe Baez was up to something with his wrestling comment. Just saw on the online news that Macho Man Randy Savage was killed in a car accident. Not to take away from our good work here at WS for Caylee...but I'm so bummed right now.

His feelings about rape and the DP are his opinion. Nothing wrong with him having an opinion and stating it. Probably feels it should be a capital crime, same as murder and that the DP should be applied in certain cases.

OT, the woman in Ohio who killed her baby in the microwave was given LWOP today, rather than DP...

That is just so wrong....cases like hers do make me wish for an eye for an eye. :maddening:

Omg, I'm catching up and only on page three. We have jury taint from yesterday?

Oh dear God....please don't let whatever I'm about to read, be that court action was retroactive and we are back to having only 11 jurors.

no worries (((Q)))) it was yesterday's pool and it happened before they were even instructed by the judge

He picked rape as an example of a capitol crime....not murder.

Do they clear the courtroom from spectators when they swear a jury in?

Does she have two shirts on?

I think it's contrast trim inside the collar and on the cuffs. I thought at first it was solid navy, but I'm thinking now it's pokie dots.

So if the Judge swears in the jurors coming back this pm at 3 o'clock then will he continue tomorrow going for alternates?

That is what I am afraid of... I just hope that JB is smart and realizes that this is the fairest jury he is going to get... Judge Perry said that they will go to a more rural area if they do not find a jury there... a more rural area usually is more conservative and more likely to give her death!

No no - it was before they knew which case they were being called - it was the very first selection grouping. No foul!!!

HHJP: different factors given different weight. you and you alone decide what weight is given to each factor. if you find they have been proven by the evidence, you can give them great weight some weight or no weight at all. would you have any problem in utilizing that instruction in arriving to what ever decision if we get to that stage?

no

HHJP: if the facts and circumstances of a case would call for death, and you find that death would be appropriate could you vote for death?

yes

HHJP: if it was LWOP?

yes

HHJP: what we want is for you to look at both equally.

okay

HHJP: can you do that? hesitation?

no sir

AF: Cart before the horse.
