No, this is correct. IF the State or the Defense chooses to strike any of the 12 in place right now, alternates will be slid into their places. Once all strikes for the 12 are used... we move on to alternates. Both the State and Defense have strikes, depending on how many alternates, to use during the alternate phase.

I'm also getting a little worried!

Real worried I doubt HHJP will not go to trial with no alternates, even 1 or 2 would be iffy.

Unless they find some more PJs somewhere I doubt it is going to be a GO.
