Nancy was 100% right when she said that Cindy basically took the role that Casey was leaving vacant. I don't for a minute think that it's necessarily the way Cindy would have wanted it, but what was Cindy supposed to do, just let little Caylee have no proper mother figure in her life? That blame in that particular fiasco rests solely on Casey's shoulders.

My Grandsons mom is the same way,she did nothing for my grandson.When she lived in my home I was the one taking care of him,if I didn't he would be fed bottles with sour formula and a rash from hell.

You are right, I had to look it up on my own personal timeline on this case that I have kept since almost the first day. I wasn't able to actually hear the testimony today, but I was getting the feeling that the information was being misinterpreted.

My timeline says: WEDNESDAY JUNE 4, 2008
— According to Amy, this is the night of Troy Brown's Birthday Party at Voyage. Casey comes with Tony, Clint and his girlfriend Maria. The four of them went back to Tony's place and then Casey had to leave.

Did Maria say she had ridden in the car another time as well?

No, both her and Clint said that was the only time they had been in the car. And they sat in the backseat - couldn't remember who drove - it was either ICA or TL. But that is completely irrelevant to all of this. WAY BEFORE Caylee was gone. Of course there was no smell.

Was the filter DE?....if it was then getting rid of that stuff when you backwash your filter takes years ....I know from experience

IIRC and I"m pretty sure that I do, we have actual threads discussing the pump and other details about the pool. Very in depth sleuthing by some really good members here.

A lawyer has to get the jury's trust, if you blow that you'll never get it back. I think Baez has already crossed that point!

Exactly! JB is too emotionally invested in his girl -- he needs to step back rather then objecting so much and getting in the face of witnesses with obnoxious questions and let this play out. He is clearly showing desperation rather than confidence in the story and thus not guilty. Stop the aggression, temper and, tantrums you are losing the Jury and guaranteeing a DP verdict IMO.

I swear I heard Maria say she rode in the back seat on June 20th...not the 4th. I'm hoping I heard wrong because I don't think that's when it occured.

As many times as Casey practiced "reacting" to the disgusting sexual abuse talk, prepared with tissue in hand and turning her face to "cry" into the shoulder of the person to her right and all.

Funny how for an accidental drowning, she didn't shed a tear when AL was talking about when he witnessed Caylee got too close to the pool so Casey stopped her.

Exactly! Some guy (can't remember his name, but he had a really nice voice, lol) called in to the JVM show tonight near the end. I was working in the next room & didn't hear everything he said, but I did catch him telling NG that despite what Baez said about Casey not being able to show "proper" emotions, she sure is crying in the right places so far during trial in front of the jury. (paraphrased) I also feel that Casey breaking down when JB was talking about her dad abusing her was partly because she thought that's what a victim would do - but also because she knew what it would do to her father to hear that. Maybe she didn't realize how horrible it would sound until it was actually stated out loud in court, IDK; kinda seemed like she knew this was cutting the final ties with her dad/maybe felt a little guilty about it...again, IDK...it just came across to me that way. I also noticed she didn't shed a tear when Lee's supposed abuse was brought up, unless I missed it. Anyone notice when JB was making his OS and started on Lee's supposed abuse, he said Lee "tried to follow in George's footsteps but it never got as far. Then in the next breath JB said, "In fact it got so bad..." (can't recall what he said after that...am tired. Help with that?)

She also didn't cry - just stared straight ahead like she was trying to see if the jury was buying it - when JB was describing Caylee's "accidental" death. Hmmm...THAT would have made me break down if I was innocent more than the abuse story.

How did she react when the girl talked about Caylee being out on the balcony by herself and Casey wasn't even worried about her - that this strange (to Caylee) girl was more concerned??? I read about that testimony somewhere in a thread but have been rushing thru them all and can't remember where I saw it now...

I'm completely disgusted by the way she smiles & laughs, seems to joke with the DT, etc. when the jury is out of the room & does a 180 when they are present. I sure do wish they could see her demeanor at ALL times. Bet there would be NO question in their minds then about her. :banghead:

I had to work late today so didn't get to watch any of the testimony and don't have time to now, so a big TY to all of you that posted summaries for those of us that couldn't watch. :rocker:

ETA: Like another poster said above, if Casey gets on the stand, I do believe I'll have to call in sick or use a vacation day for that!
