Ok is there any evidence that relates to the shovel?

Right now it looks stupid the neighbor was called about the shovel, if the state doesnt have a reason to talk about the shovel then I understand JB not wanting him up there all it does is lead to speculation

The state shouldnt have needed him without evidence tied to the shovel. IMO

it is huge in terms of an investigation but once it turns out not to be related it makes it look like the state is tossing stuff out for no purpose.IMO

Did she ever borrow anything before? ever? A lighter on the 12th KWIM? Caylee wasnt buried.

I thought the same thing! I think JB -was- trying to paint BB as some sort of stalker man...or at least alluded to him being a "Nosy neighbor" it felt like he was trying to shut him up.

I too thought that the body was placed in the playhouse at some point. Maybe initially, and she did try to bury her in the yard, found it too difficult, and then put the baby back into her trunk.

I have to go back and read the transcripts to see exactly what date MK and TonE were in ICAs car.

There is a timeline also that might have that info........but I always believed there was something odd about the shovel. She must've thought she could bury that child in the As yard.

Except the State doesn't expound on how the shovel was used, or what its intent was? Scratching my head on this one. The State contends that she dumped the body in the swamp, not buried it in the backyard, or did I miss that in their OS?

Maybe I'm just impatient and want them to get to the meat, but I found this witness to be a waste for both sides. JMO of course.

JB was trying to imply the neighbor wanted to insert himself into the case because of the media coverage. Bad move. This witness was neutral, just stating the facts and very likeable.

And this tactic will very soon lead this jury to the conclusion that this is a desperate defense. A defense who has NOTHING to offer to defend the defendent except to discredit every witness who takes the stand.

I think you're correct. However, I'm confused as to why someone with a shed, and a yard, and invasive bamboo would not own a shovel themselves. But that's besides the point...I think she googled shovel because she was thinking of buying one.

You find nothing relevent to Casey borrowing a shovel a day or two after she claims that her daughter accidently died in a pool accident when she had shovels of her own in her very own shed? She had no problem breaking into the shed to get gas cans... why not break into the shed to get a shovel??

I continue to be amazed that the defense team doesn't insist that Casey change her facial expressions. IMO it's a really important element that the jury will judge and worthy of everyone's attention.

She wavers between pouty, put-upon, angry and defiant. Almost anything else would be better. Maybe they should give her back her files ~ as irritating as it was to see her pretend she was a paralegal, it wasn't as offensively convicting as what is on display in today's courtroom antics. moo, moo, moo.
