Well, don't believe JB was thinking that far ahead, neither was ICA. It was more than 10 minutes away from this trial.

Question on point: So can the SA not bring up the theft and charges using Amy's money if they have Amy on the stand?

And if not, why not? Legal heads?

you can get in evidence of prior conviction or criminal act where it is evidence of a pertinent character trait - which in this case appears to be dishonesty?
stealing = dishonest,
but if JB argues that honesty has nothing to do w/ murder, and the judge buys it (which is possible bc 'honesty' crimes are usually theft or fraud) it could have to stay out

It is so frustrating when Baez asks about whether Caylee ever looked like she went without food and clothing. I wish for once that the prosecution would cross and ask, "who paid for that food and clothing?" I know that the witnesses won't be able to answer that question, but they could ask GA, or CA when she takes the stand. It's a stupid question, IMO, because Casey had nothing to do with making sure Caylee had enough to eat or had enough to wear.

I think the state could ask the witness following Baez's questions about food and clothing if the witness has learned that Casey never did have a job after the birth of Caylee.

Well so far the DT team has showed her guilty of the lying to LE charges with their opening statement, they should have plead that one off the list.

Now we get to see all this 'demeanor/evidence of lack of remorse' stuff because the State is still proving the lying to a LE portion, and off course failing to report the accidental drowning, and not calling 911 at the time may go a long way to proving the SA's charges of child abuse/neglect.

I like that the State is just ignoring the DTs change of story and forging ahead to prove the individual charges against her, we will soon hear experts testify to the actual murder charges.

I have a family of 5 and we don't shop that often in 1 week...

dressed like a fashion plate looking for her already dead daughter, the thing i don't get is George is denying all of her claims right? So isnt the defense done? I mean what will they say happend to Caylee after George and Casey found the body in the pool? Who said what in the cover up? Why would George cover it up? why not call the police so they know its an accident? A church member of mine had their child drown and they were devestated and we prayed for them, helped them out thru their tough time.. why did they not do something similiar.. are they really that morally bankrupt..??

I think this defense will ensure a guilt/death verdict...

I also don't understand why the tapes are so damaging. In either case, DT or SA, Caylee was already gone at that point. Why would she be buying anything for her? It's pretty easy for DT to say that everyone copes with things differently, which is very true.

ETA: If I were a juror with a neutral mind, I would have to think, so what, she is shopping. Doesn't point to a cover up by her and her father or that she murdered her child. I hope the SA will state what significance they believe the videos to have!
