I'm thinking buying all that food could be at least in part to ingratiate herself. They might not have needed the food, but she wanted to please TL.

I also don't understand why the tapes are so damaging. In either case, DT or SA, Caylee was already gone at that point. Why would she be buying anything for her? It's pretty easy for DT to say that everyone copes with things differently, which is very true.

They're damaging because regardless of whether or not Caylee was already gone (whether due to murder or drowning, take your pick), Casey was lying this entire time period about the whereabouts of her daughter. She also claimed to investigators that she was out searching for Caylee during this whole time.

per big aha moment, Caylee was already dead. Tragic drowning accident. ICA in denial. Apparently in denial about not just the death of her child but about ever having one in the first place.

Sort of blows a big ole hole in Baez's theory that in ICA's 'world' she was carrying on as if everything was just hunky dory - pretending to all her friends as if Caylee was still around and vacationing at the beach and Disney with the invisinanny. (Birthday party invite and bowling, etc.)

Random question:

Besides showing Casey's demeanor and utter lack of remorse while Caylee is missing/dead/etc. during this time period, could the purpose of showing these videos also be to tie Casey to evidence found with the body and/or in Casey's trunk? Wasn't there adipocere found on paper towels? Could those paper towels have been purchased in this Target video?

Sorry if this is incorrect or out in left field. My memory is a little hazy concerning the non-duct tape evidence.

IMO. I posted before that perhaps following the neck-breaking search, she might have used a disposible towel to place over the victim before applying the shovel, since the shovel seems to show little or no dna, that is, if she used the shovel to break a neck.

I can't remember. Wasn't it Amy's checks she was cashing at the bank? Didn't she cash someone's check or checks at BOA?

You can use your id with someone elses check? Yikes

When I worked retail, we had to take their ID and we were supposed to make sure that the ID info was the same as the info on the check. Then we had to make a large cross and in one corner write the type of ID, another window the ID number, another window the EX date of the ID and in the last corner the approval number that we got from the register after we ran the check. It was entirely possible for a cashier, in a hurry to just write the info and run the check. Not a good way to keep your job, but it can happen on purpose, or on accident if the cashier was not paying attention.

ETA: Might not have been the exp date of the ID, might have been their birthday, not sure and doesn't really matter, but it was a date .
