I just cant understand where the defense came up with the theory for her defense. Its awful. Were they led to beleive the anthonys would go along with it?.

IDK, but listening to it, it sounded an awful lot like what the defendant might concoct once she was at the end of yet another hallway. LDB said it herself--when ICA is trapped by her lies, she doesn't come clean. She concocts another lie, and yet another one, to cover herself.

Remember that the jury also heard today that ICA told her mother all about being in Jacksonville with Jeff H, and how Jeff's mom was married in the hospital chapel because she was deathly ill... today has got to have blown those jurors' minds IMO.

The DT got the theory from their client. Casey. Who else would weave such a ridiclous story?

Im sure it was from her, but they should have known better. It wont fly. to many holes in that theory. moo

8/09/11 CAYLEE'S birthday..............hopefully ICA will be sentenced to her fate
Justice for Caylee! Lit a candle!

Oh... wouldn't that be something!? Sweet, sweet justice.

IMO CA will not survive if ICA is put to death...the jury might consider this after seeing CA's reaction today. CA just might be ICA's saving grace after all....the jury may have such pity for CA that they would not put her through the trauma of having her daughter put to death.

I agree.

I am hoping that Cindy remains as calm as she can. I don't want her exploding and causing a mistrial. My heart aches for her today though. I hope Lee is up next.

Oh Lord, I forgot all about Lee in the middle of all that this morning! I'm gonna pray he doesn't lapse into his "Laughing Lee" routine. I think he just comes from nerves, but it really looks ODD when he's testifiying in a murder trial. I feel very, very sorry Lee.

there is a rather ghetto vernacular that refers to showing "one's backside"....this is when the truest impression of one's worst intention or feature is blatantly highlighted by one's own behaviour.

don't ask me to repeat that...lol

anyway, someone's backside got showed today in court!!!!

See CA and GA have heard these past few days exactly what has gone down day by day seen the videos heard what her friends have said and i think they have finally seen with eyes wide open... JMO

Someone just reminded me Jose will want to talk to her about the ladder on the pool. Accuse her of leaving it up.

slightly OT... but Doc I just figured out how to include avatars in my viewing experience of websleuths and can I just say that every time I see yours I just about wet my pants!

((back on topic I agree the pool ladder will be discussed on redirect:twocents:))

CA's testimony can be best described as

RETROACTIVE THWARTATION

There just simply aren't enough Thwartcakes to cover this morning's testimony....there just isn't....

What if CA just tells the TRUTH re: her actions since ICA was arrested for Caylee's murder? I'd take my chances that the jury, even this early on, would understand where she was coming from..Maybe not approve per say but they'd get it & my guess is they'd give her a free pass..It would be better for her then making up excuses or flat out lying about stuff during cross. imo

And there-in lies the problem with this family- enabling makes them worse.. teaches them they can get away with anything and everything.

I have always stated that if Cindy is truthful at trial I will stop discussing her harshly, she deserves credit for FINALLY standing up to her daughter and I'ma give her that but enabling is enabling.. it can't be ignored or denied- it happened. If this girl was held accountable YEARS ago this could have been prevented. This "family" is a perfect example of why children must have consequences and be taught about personal responsibility.

Yes. I totally agree. I don't want to sweep away part of the truth of what happened to Caylee. I feel that is part of the truth. I was never here to speak harshly or any other way about anyone.

I was here because there was a missing two and a half year old girl, and her mother and her grandparents according to Tim Miler and LE were not co operating in that investigation.

Cindy did not co operate with the investigation to find Caylee. IMHO.

But again, people are being wonderful with their tenderheartedness. I am obviously much more cynical.

Good gravy...I feel the overwhelming urge to call my mom right now. Just to tell her how much I appreciate her and that I would never never never ever do anything like this to her. Ever.

Oh, and I detest ICA. She is dispicable to no end. The devestation caused by sociopaths is unmeasurable. Total devestation and they yet to have a clue. She is an unfinished soul. Somebody forgot to insert that emotion chip when she was being developed. Besides, the devestation that they cause: What is the purpose of a sociopath on earth walking among us? How do they help the rest of us?

Well, I do know one thing: The devestation that they leave us in tends to make us run straight to the Lord in prayer for guidance and healing. At least that is what I did.

One thing that struck me last week: a video surfaced where Cindy has Caylee outside at what looks like a BBQ party and some guy is using a kiddy karaoke mic...anyway, Cindy Anthony is smiling radiantly with Caylee there. It dawned on me that I have never been able to see THAT Cindy; smiling, happy, at ease...I noticed how attractive she was.

The Cindy whose denial has eaten her up is an angry and bitter ugly woman. I PRAY she can smile like she did that day once again, but I think it may be a long time. Losing Caylee is worse for her than losing Casey, but she just hasn't figured that out yet.

Her actual grieving for Caylee is just beginning. She may very well be forever broken.

In one way it is sad and in another she contributed to this situation. I do not think she had any idea how bad things could get.

Its been said on NG that CA and GA had been still looking for Zanny the Nanny up to 6 weeks ago! Talk about desperate measures! How very sad...

me 2. it doesn't even matter that ICA n JB basically forced them into abandoning her. all that matters is that she is supporting caylee now, when it matters. the other is over.

I've been one of the worst at despising and criticizing the elder Anthonys throughout the last three years for all their cover-up nonsense and downright meanness.

Right now I don't even care that it's taken them this long to come to their senses or how it came about. I'm just so very grateful that they finally have and that it was before this trial began. Otherwise this trial could be going in a very different direction, IMO.

Cindy's pain is excruciating and palpable and I have to remember this is all a new realization for her. I commend her strength and endurance through this trial - and through the last three years. I wish them nothing but comfort and peace and that this can finally be the beginning of their real grieving process and the path to healing. It's been a brutal last three years and it's going to be a tough road ahead. God Bless them!

For those of us who have followed this ordeal from the beginning, have seen so many evolutions of Cindy. Now in retrospect, I think Cindy was just incapable of even imagining that Casey could do anything to Caylee. Who could blame her? She loved that child with her whole being, and knew that Casey was not being a good mother to her. I think we have seen her going through all the stages of grief over the past 3 years. DENIAL, ANGER, BARGAINING, DEPRESSION and finally ACCEPTANCE. People do not necessarily go through these stages in this particular order, but we have seen both Cindy and George evolving through these stages of loss and grief. We are seeing today her total realization of just how evil and cold her daughter really is. And LDB is methodically walking her through all the lies that she had been told by Casey. She is a broken woman. It is just so horribly sad. Those grandparents really deserve our prayers and support now.

I had just re-listened to the jailhouse call a day or two ago and its impact was unbelievably powerful even without the language that Casey was slinging. When I heard it again today, language included in all its glory, I realized that there really don't need to be that many witnesses against Casey. SHE is the best witness against her own self that we could ever hope for. I mean, what mother, grieving mother, could or would put her family through that entire scene? The monster is showing her ugly face to this jury, and once they have seen it, she can try to hide it behind whatever fairytales and staged emotional breakdowns she wants and it is not going to make a difference. She will be VERY lucky if they go with LWOP...because death is so obviously the only rational conclusion to this for her.

All of this has been one huge waste, perpetuated on the Anthony's, the public and the taxpayers of Florida. It is surreal hearing all these things that we have come to know so intimately taken in the context of how the jury is viewing/hearing it for the first time. They will NEVER believe her new improved "Caylee drowned and my dad hid her body" story-not in a million years. I am so happy that we are coming closer day by day to justice for sweet, precious Caylee, whose life was ended by that monster in that courtroom.

Hey guys, I have made a few changes to the TRIAL thread and tried to clarify a few things in an effort to help alleviate some confusion.
